Hello, I have to tell you that I am so grateful and humbled so many of you took the time to take the Love of Home survey. I was overwhelmed with the kindness, so thank you!

I was thrilled to pour over all the responses and see what I can do to benefit my readers and provide great content.

So here’s what rose to the top.

The number one post topic was Decorating, followed by DIY & Crafts, coming in 3rd was Holidays & Seasonal, 4th was Recipes, Cleaning and Organizing rounded out the top 5!

I will continue to cover all of these topics.

Just a smidge less than half of you visit 2-4 times a week, that’s really great!

A whopping 85% of you subscribe to Love of Home.

The overwhelming majority like getting the daily emails so that will continue. When I do have the second option of a weekly email I will be sure to let those who’d prefer that option know it’s available.

I am most followed on Pinterest and then Facebook. Which is great to know since that’s where I spend most of my time.

Did you know it helps my blog a ton if you pin things you like to Pinterest? If you want to save something and find it later. It’s a great way to keep it handy for future reference and it’s appreciated by me.

I just wanted to apologize, one reader mentioned not responding to negative comments. I will try to respond to every comment in the future, good or bad.

Also, there was  someone who asked me, to be honest about products that I get for free, discounts etc. Every post that has been sponsored is noted in some way. I am required to acknowledge that I am compensated and I do so every time. Sometimes I talk about Hobby Lobby, Joann’s or some other places I shop like Target and the post is not sponsored. I just like to let people know where I purchased the item(s). If I use an affiliate link it is always noted as well. The media companies I work for DO NOT allow me to post for them unless it is disclosed. The majority of my sponsored posts are done through a media company. Sometimes it’s at the top, sometimes at the bottom, sometimes with *affiliate note. I also have a disclosure policy (nav bar under about) stating that my blog does take compensation in different forms.  If I was compensated in any way, you are told on every post. I am not going to give you every specific detail of my compensation.

While we are on sponsored posts I will continue to do the ones I feel are a good fit for the blog. This is a way I am able to get paid for the hours that it takes to put Love of Home together week after week and to cover the costs of running the blog.

One of the things people would like to improve is organization! I’m am with you on that. I’m always working on ways to keep things organized, it’s definitely something I will try to address and share ways if I find something that I have success with!

One reader, asked How I do it all? I can’t all the time, life gets hectic. My kids are all in school so while they are at school I get a lot done. I try to make the most of my time but believe me, I’m just like everyone else! I try to inspire people and share what I make or do but in the end, my house isn’t perfect, nor is my life but I love it. The good, the bad and the ugly! My family is behind me 100%. They cheer me on when things go well and they tell me to keep my chin up when they don’t. I couldn’t do it without them!

I was asked how I started blogging and if it was hard at first? I’ve always loved to make things and writing about my love of crafting seemed like a fun hobby. I actually blogged back in 2010 for about 2 years and one day I decided to give it up. After a hiatus, I missed it and dabbled for awhile until last year when I decided to jump in with both feet. I think if I had a little more know how I could have avoided some of the early mistakes on the technical side. There was so much I didn’t know (and still don’t!).  It’s a slow process so you have to be persistent and patient. Nothing happens overnight. A few of my blog friends have told me that it’s not a sprint it’s a marathon. After one full year of working hard and treating it like my job, I totally know what they mean!

To my dyslexic reader, I’m sorry I have no idea how to change the font since the template is all put together for me. You should be able to enlarge on your end if you go to view in your browser it will give you a zoom option! My reader who mentioned darker print, it’s black so I don’t think there is much I can do there, I’m sorry!

If you missed filling out the survey and still want to do so you can here. I would love to get your feedback!

I hope I got to most of your questions without boring you! Thank you so much. I’ll use the areas that you listed you’d like to improve or might need help with to craft posts for the upcoming year!  Thank you again, I’m so grateful for each and every one of you!
