I’ve been having fun with this Hooray It’s Your Day (137164) stamp set lately. And never fear, it’s completely non-diva appropriate, too! And if my niece who received this card from me happens to read this blog post, then sweetheart, please know that I love you and I don’t really think you’re a diva (although hey, when you’re 17, you’re entitled, right? 
)
Here’s the diva part:
I created this card pair as my thank you bonus to those who placed an online order with me during the free shipping special in April. Just add stamps and ink and you’ll be set!
If you placed an online order with me during April and you don’t get your mini kit, please let me know! You may have inadvertently set your online account with my store so that I can’t see who you are. I’ll be sending new catalogs to my customers this summer (June 2!) so you’ll definitely want to make sure that your name isn’t hidden from me!
To check, you can log into your account in my online store, then click the “my account” (toward the top right corner of the screen). On the My Account page you’ll click the “My Demonstrator” tab. Be sure your settings look like the photo below, with a “yes” box clicked for “allow my demonstrator to contact me”. Finally, be sure to SAVE CHANGES.
Background Technique for the Star Paper
Like the white stars on the background? That’s done with an Emboss Resist technique – super fun. You can use pre-embossed Designer Series paper (like the Irresistibly Yours DSP that was available during Sale-A-Bration – see below!) or you can make your own emboss resist paper in whatever design or pattern you choose!
Make Your Own Emboss Resist Paper
Stamp your images on Whisper White card stock in Versamark Ink
Heat emboss the images with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder or Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder
Then just fill a Stampin’ Spritzer with rubbing alcohol (from the drug store) and add a few drops of Classic Pad Ink Refill (I like about 7 drops per spritzer of a strong color like Melon Mambo). Spritz on your emboss resist paper to add color as desired!
