Wells House and Gardens wins FBD Women and Agriculture Award
On Wednesday 28th October Sabine Rosler of Wells House and Gardens attending the FBD Women and Agriculture Awards and won first prize in the Agri Business Innovation Award. These awards provide a national platform to recognise the contribution women make to agriculture in Ireland and the innovative practices that ensure the future security of farming sector. They are designed to highlight an entrepreneurial spirit and the drive needed to develop a successful sustainable business.
To be listed as a finalist in these national awards Wells House and Gardens were visited in early September by Mary Lyons of Teagasc, Carolyn O’Hara of FBD and Katherine O’Leary of the Farmers Journal who spoke with Sabine in relation to her business plan and the motivation behind opening the house and gardens to the public, the strategy required to make a new tourist venue a success and what a normal day is like for Sabine in her role as owner and manager.
The gala awards night was held in Knightsbrook Hotel in Trim where Sabine accepted her award. On behalf of Sabine and her team she would like to extend her gratitude to our customers for their support over the last three years as they have allowed the business grow and gain our reputation. Sabine will go on to represent Ireland in the EU Innovation Awards being held in Brussels in October 2016.
