This post was created as part of a relationship in which I was sponsored by Weight Watchers to share my experiences. Though I was compensated for my time and commitment, all views, positive and negative, are my own. Their new program Beyond the Scale, a holistic approach with more ways than ever for you to personalize your program, define your success and guide you on your road to healthier living. #WWsponsored

This last year has been very challenging for me. I lost my oldest sister to cancer last November. The weeks leading up to that as well as many other things that have happened since, have left me unwanted pounds. I am officially at my heaviest I have even been, and it has been hard for me. I have four young kids that are very active, and so I feel like I am always on the go, but I also work a desk job so when they don’t need me I am sitting in front of my computer working. There have been many things combined that leave me feeling like I don’t have enough time in my day to work out or eat healthy, but after doing a lot of soul-searching this last week, I have realized that most of the time restrictions are ones I have put on myself and I am going to make big changes for 2016 so I can be my best self and have more self-confidence.

I am excited to partner with Weight Watchers and try out their new Beyond the Scale™ program. This is a great program that not only analyzes my physical well being but also my other needs. It helps me set small realistic goals by using a smart points system and I am able to reach those goals by taking the right steps. The FitBreaks app (available for iOS) is a great resource because it gives me ideas of exercises I can do when I have a few minute break. Today while I was working I opened the app and found a simple exercise and did it . Not only did it help me feel re-energized but I also felt a good sense of accomplishment and realized that just by doing this simple thing, I was working towards my goal. Little things that lead up to bigger ones.

Since I have gotten heavier, I feel like my self-confidence has taken a hit. I know I need to do something about it not only for myself but also my family and I am ready to take those steps. I want you to join me and try the Beyond the Scale™ program so that you can reclaim the fit and healthy life that you deserve as well. While you are working on your fitness and health goals, I want to share 5 ways to build your self-confidence that have helped me:

Remember that you are not just a number on a scale or a pant size. There is so much more to you and you have a lot of to offer.

Find a talent that you really love and work on developing that. Mine is cooking and baking as well as music. I turn to both of those a lot and they help me feel better about myself the better I get at them.

Surround yourself with good friends that are supportive of you and love you the way you are, but will also help you reach your goals for change.

Use a planner to schedule out your week so that you can accomplish all of the things you need to get done as well as make notes for yourself to remember to exercise and eat better.

Leave positive notes around your house and work area that encourage you in your goals.

So far I have been loving the Beyond the Scale™ program from Weight Watchers and I know that you will love it as well. They give you all the tools you need to succeed and provide a great support system for you as well as other tools that will help ensure your success.
