Two survivalist EJ Snyder and Kellie Nightlinger take on the African continent in this ” as real as it gets” reality series. Two strangers have chosen to put their skills to the ultimate test. They have no clothes no food and no water and surviving in the wilderness for 21 days. In Africa Tanzania temperatures soar into the hundreds by day and below freezing at night. During the dry season everything that lives here is in a constant battle to survive. Plants liter the landscape with sharp thorns and needles to protect themselves form the veggie eating animals.
Most 46 year olds don’t look like EJ Snyder. He is a built muscular man with rugged facial features. He is a retired Army Veteran who spends his career today as a Army survival instructor and he’s also a family man. He’s been married for 20 years and has two kids. He’s been on survival missions all over the world but this is his first in Africa. Upon arrival EJ is amazed by the beauty of the landscape but aware that he is going to have to be on his toes. He can see the open plains which alerts him that predators like lions are capable of catching them easily if he doesn’t stay cautious. EJ Snyder is described as Kellie as the ultimate alpha male.
38 year old Kellie Nightlinger is from Alaska. The beautiful blonde is currently single and her occupation is an Adventure Guide. She was a game warden for 12 1/2 years and she has an adventure based youth camp. She has never been to Africa and it frightens her but she’s excited for the adventure. Being naked as an unusual element to the survival challenge. Kellie Nightlinger wont have any protection from the sun or the unusual cold weather. It’s only a small percentage of women who would take on a challenge like this. But she is not your average woman. Kellie has broad experience with primitive and plant life. Her survival rating was set at 7.5 while EJ’s was 7.3.
A small crew captures the 21 day journey and asked not to intervene unless there is severe medical issues. The survivalist have been given a primitive map of the area. Indicated on it is there extraction point a small mountain 5 miles northwest. There are small water holes located on the map. It’s their only source of water. Before getting into the competition they underwent a rigorous psychological and physical evaluation.
