The Dancehall superman; Samini is embarking on huge projects this year and the “Light A Million Lives” project is one of the initiatives the dancehall artiste took, to be of help to people or giving back to the community. Its very obvious the dancehall artiste is not all about making huge money and showing off, but to share some of what he got with less privileged people. I see the “Light A Million Lives” project as something that is going to have a positive effect on people directly. He will be distributing 1 million solar lamps across the country to support people who do not really have access to electricity.
Samini said this is a dream come true for him because since class 3 in the primary school, he got to know that converting solar energy to electricity is possible and it has been something he always wanted to be part of, hoping Africa can make good use of our sunlight someday. The dream is a reality now and I guess that should make him feel really good inside! Samini has always been there for the needy and has promised to keep giving back to the community.
