The Confederation of Passenger Transport UK (CPT) is recognised by Government as the voice of the bus and coach industry, and the focus for consultation on national and international legislation, local regulations, operational practices and engineering standards.

Members range from the largest multi-national transport operators to the smallest family businesses, each acting together for the benefit of all operators to be heard by policy makers and gain access to the latest industry resources.

This year's annual CPT conference will be held at Loch Lomond on 6-7 October with a focus on 'tomorrow's challenges, bringing together many key transport stakeholders to discuss the events of 2014 and the direction of the passenger transport sector in future years.

Lothian Buses' is delighted to be involved and have its Head of Operations, Sarah Boyd chairing the event.

Sarah Boyd said:

It's a real honour to be Chair of CPT Scotland this year and to be given the opportunity to represent the industry and liaise with Government to shape policy. The theme this year is 'Travelling Towards Tomorrow' and the range of speakers attending mean that it should be a really interesting event.
