What: Jack’s Abby One Year Anniversary Party

When: Thursday July 19th at 7pm

Where: British Beer Company in Framingham, MA

What: Eight tap lines and a cask

In July of 2011 Jack’s Abby Brewing poured their first commercial pub beer at the British Beer Company in Framingham. On Thursday July 19th of this year, Jack’s Abby returns to the scene of the first pour for their one year anniversary party. Last year folks were thrilled to have a brewery to call their own right in the town of Framingham, then people tried the beer and were wicked super awesomely excited! The Hendler brothers haven’t looked back and are now brewing some of the finest beers in New England.

The Boston Globe had this to say: “Hoponius Union, made by Jack’s Abby Brewing, has become my first-choice beer when I’m out at a pub. So imagine how happy the Framingham brewer made me when it recently began bottling this fine beverage. It’s an innovative beer. Jack’s Abby, a three-brother operation that launched last year and has carved a niche by focusing on lagers, calls Hoponius Union an “India pale lager.” Indeed, it tastes more like an India pale ale than a pale lager, which is what it is. That’s because it’s intensely hopped — this beer measures 65 IBUs, bitter even by IPA standards.”

Last year’s introduction at the BBC featured Jack’s Abby Saxon Pilsner and Red Tape Lager. This year, things are being turned up a notch. Eight beers will be on draft along with a cask. They will include – Jabby Brau, Hoponius Union, Leisure Time Lager, Red Tape Lager, India Pale Lager, Framinghammer Baltic Porter, Biere de Garde (aged in white wine barrels), Smoke & Dagger Peanut Butter.

Yes, you read that right…Peanut Butter flavored beer! This event will also feature the introduction of Jack’s newest seasonal, India Pale Lager. Owner/Brewers, the brothers Hendler, will be in the pub from 7pm until close meeting and greeting customers and beer groupies, but the beers will be tapped at noon for the lunch crowd to enjoy as well.
