Coming into Super Bowl XLVIII much of the talk centered around the Denver Broncos’ high-powered offense going up against the stingy defense of the Seattle Seahawks. When the game ended it was evident which unit was better, atleast on Sunday. The Seahawks dominated the Broncos on their way to a 43-8 victory and first NFL championship.
If you’re a Broncos fan there isn’t much to see, but here are some highlights from the game.
Before the game got underway Joe Namath got a little ahead of himself by tossing the coin before heads or tails was chosen.
The first score came via a safety, which was a sign that it would be downhill from there for the Broncos.
Late in the first quarter Peyton Manning tossed the first of two interceptions of the evening, this one to safety Kam Chancellor.
Marshawn Lynch registered the first touchdown with this one yard run.
Manning’s second interception was returned 69 yards to pay dirt by Malcolm Smith, who intercepted the tipped pass by Richard Sherman that sealed the win in the NFC championship game.
Many tabbed Seahawks wide receiver Percy Harvin as an “x-factor” leading up to the game. He did this to open the second half.
Russell Wilson got in on the act later in the third quarter, hooking up with Jermaine Kearse.
Demaryius Thomas ensured the Broncos wouldn’t be shut out by hauling in this pass from Petyon Manning.
Doug Baldwin made a couple of nifty moves after the catch to find the end zone for the final touchdown of the night.
Chris Clemons put the cap on an impressive display by the Seahawks defense by forcing this fumbe by Manning that was recovered by Clinton McDonald.
As for the MVP

Smith had nine tackles, the above shown interception for a touchdown, and recovered a fumble. Not a bad day at the office for the 24-year old linebacker.
