Children’s book company Pequeno Editor and FCB Buenos Aires have recently launched the Tree Book Tree program, which turns children’s books into trees.

Their first book called Mi Papá Estuvo en la Selva (My Father Was In The Jungle) is a picture book for 8 – 12-year-old kids, detailing the adventures of a father in an Ecuadorian jungle. The book itself is made out of acid-free paper and is silk-screened and printed with ecological ink, hand-stitched and bound.

When the book has been read, kids are encouraged to plant the book (which is filled with jacaranda seeds) and to watch it grow.

Take a look at the entire process here – it’s fascinating.
