As we settle into autumn, many Americans recognize that the
end of the year is just around the corner. And, for those of us who have been
waiting for the right time to purchase a new car, the remaining few months of
the year might just be the best opportunity.

New model year vehicles have begun assuming spots in dealerships, an exciting prospect for anyone considering purchasing a brand new car for the holidays. However, if you’re on a budget, buying the newest model might be out of the question, no matter how long you’ve been waiting for a new car.

The good news is you can still treat someone (or yourself!)
to a car in time for the new year by considering models of this past year. Many
new 2015 model year cars are still available here at Motor Village of LA, and
we’d love for you to come and take a look! If you’re still torn between
purchasing a 2015 or 2016 model, here are a few points to consider:

Safety features

Newer vehicles mean more advanced safety features.  These include brake assistance, as in our 2016 Chrysler 200 C; blind spot
detection, as in our 2016 Jeep Cherokee Latitude; and ignition disabling, as in our 2016 Dodge Challenger R/T Coupe. If having the latest measures of
safety are very important to you, then you might consider investing in a 2016
model.

Significant changes to the vehicle

Some vehicles change very little from its past model year,
and some change tremendously. Comparing the changes between the model years for
the specific vehicle you want can help you determine whether or not buying the
newest model is worth the cost.

Price

Purchasing the newest model means you will pay more for your
car, regardless of how similar the model years may be. You’ll likely pay close
to the suggested retail price if you purchase the 2016 vehicle before the year
ends, as the vehicle will have been recently released. If your heart is set on
a 2016 model, we often provide appealing new vehicle specials. On the other hand, you’ll likely receive discounts if you
choose a 2015 vehicle during this same period.

No matter which vehicle you
choose, we offer great financing options at our Finance Department for both 2015 and 2015 models. We often have finance specials as well to help you
get the car you want.

How long you are keeping the vehicle

If you’re planning to trade
the vehicle you purchase within the next three years, a 2016 model purchase
will be better as the car will have more value at the time of trade. Purchase a
2015 model if you’re keeping the car for longer, as it will be more affordable
to pay off.

We are dedicated to providing you the best deals on our 2015 vehicles. If you need
additional help deciding which model year is best for you, please visit us. We also offer great leasing options, and are happy to
assist you on our website.
