The Position

This is a remote, CMO role that will be expected to fly into our Tampa, FL office on occasion. We are seeking a marketing professional who prospers in being a key leader in driving creative customer acquisition strategies with the use of advanced lead generation, online/offline marketing, public relations and corporate communications.

This marketing leader will build and optimize the entire customer acquisition funnel. Responsibilities will include planning, implementing and executing online customer acquisition campaigns. He/she will drive qualified visitors to the website, while leveraging acquisition and retention-based programs, including: paid search, natural search, affiliate programs, email, social media, mobile and other emerging media channels.

Essential Functions Responsibilities

Lead execution of online customer acquisition tactics including:

Paid search, SEO, affiliate programs, email campaigns, social media and marketing automation

Test and drive more efficient, scalable acquisition of targeted customer profiles

Identify target customer segments in the formulation of customer acquisition strategies

Test new venues for customer and lead generation

Integrate all tactics tightly with the intense selling efforts of the company

Develop marketing strategies that ensure customer base growth

Plan, strategize and execute marketing designs and activities to build brand awareness in the marketplace that grows new customers

Expand upon the brand awareness in order to build strong name recognition within the competitive category

Create organic growth through marketing so the company emerges as a category leader in an intensely competitive market

Qualifications

7-10 years of marketing leadership experience

Past results in driving the success metrics in a business

Prior experience operating successfully in a high-growth or entrepreneurial environment

An intense focus on sales in a marketing-centric role

Proven ability to integrate tightly the sales function of the business

Successful results driven from eMarketing and integrated digital marketing efforts

Experience managing complex systems and CRM databases

CRM (salesforce.com) program, marketing automation (Marketo), list management, and customer and prospect segmentation knowledge a plus

BA/BS in the related field of marketing, advertising or business; advanced degrees welcomed

Firm strong believer and expert in various mainstream and cutting edge social media platforms

Measurable experience in PPC/SEO, affiliate programs, email and other online programs

Demonstrated ability to deliver a quantity of valuable new customers within the framework of ROI goals, as a key part of a successful business enterprise

Ability to create the strategic direction of increasing eMarketing activity from a variety of online media channels to expand market share

Experience developing the proper metrics, tracking and reporting systems to ensure excellent marketing ROI

Ability to develop and lead a high performing team of marketing professionals

Must possess creative problem solving abilities and be able to create creative solutions where more can be done with less in terms of resources

Experience in leading and implementing marketing best practices in a start-up environment is strongly preferred

Must be able to work in a demanding and fast-paced environment with a strong executive team

Working knowledge of emerging online trends and industry/consumer user behavior

Ability to handle multiple projects, multi-task efficiently and meet deadlines

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Must have exceptional interpersonal skills
