I just got my new Vortex Viper PST 6x24x50 scope today and now I need rings and bases. I have a Winchester Model 70 long action that I am putting the scope on and it looks like I am going to be limited on my choices of bases. I want to get a 1 piece rail and am looking at the EGW bases. I was set on getting Burris Zee rings to go with it but noticed that they are for a Weaver rail and the base is a Picatinny type. This makes me nervous on my scope possibly moving because of the differences between the two. Is anyone running a combination like this? I was trying to get away from having to lap the rings but if I go with a different brand what is recommended?
