Whats up Longecity? I'm AMKR (Abolish Mundane Konceptions of Reality) of Aeons Old (Motion & Myself), Source Auras (Motion, Myself and DJ Josh Grooves) and Air Loom Gang (ALhazred, Old Owl, Myself and Blunted Sultan aka Vice Versa and Carmine Moth) of Cane Corso Records/Dead Orchard Productions (for the latter, ALG).
I'm an ecclectic/experimental rapper - and producer (Aeons Old is our self-produced project - although more recently Ive been working with amazing instrumentalists like my man Josh Grooves from Source Auras, Old Owl, Blunted Sultan (aka Vice Versa and Carmine Moth) in Air Loom Gang on Cane Corso/Dead Orchard and a long time friend/affliliate - BADMiND - dutchstyle hardcore techno producer - whom I have a TBA full length LP (23 tracks) in the works - all the production is done, me and motion are in the writing stages and coming up with the overall concept/group name etc).
I've been an active musician for 7.5 years now, I dont constrain myself to genre, seeing it as a box in of itself, preferring to work with all elements of music and art. I'm learning the ropes to become an engineer - mixing and mastering (now that I have the studio and the equiptment to make it worthwhile). I'm also in the very very early stages of starting a multi-faceted - all encompasing music buisness (working on my buisness plan and getting my credit in order.) Also play midi-keys, synthesizers, drum machines, and versed in step-sequencers/production suites like FL Studio, Propellerheads Reason (for instrumentals), Pro Tools LE and Cockos Reaper (DAWs - Digital Audio Workstations for Recording Vocals and other non-digital instruments). Aspiriing multi-media/video artist (dubbing/ADR/voice acting, music videos, folly artist, movie-riffing - in the tradition of Mystery Science Theater 3000 and their alumni projects - Rifftrax and Cinematic Titanic respectively).
Have been an active member of the underground music scene since for 14.5 years now (and I'm only 25 haha) - former moderater/administrater and co-webmaster of the Original Killmusick (an underground rap website, the 2nd biggest in the sub-genre we focused on) - for 8-9 years (from day 1 til it went downhill after it got sold to a new owner) - which including researching (digging/talking to local collectors) for original handwritten biographies of artists (we had an archive of artists pages, from all the best artists and any information, past and present you could ever want to know and more haha), discographies (long before discogs and sites like it haha) - including unearthing quite a few songs/collaborations that no one save for local collectors had ever heard, conducting original interviews with artists, and writting track by tack reviews of albums for KM (among many other forums, and random places) to the point where I'd recieve albums for free - inreturn for a full review, updating the news, mod/admin the forums, promotion for various record labels and artists through street teams and other means, organizing member of the original Slaugherahz United crew - which was a fan club to give back to the fans - for helping promote/street team, and offering incentives that we're exclusive to SU - like albums that only 'Slaughterahz' could get, tee shirts, and various other merchandise, which also included reviewing LPs for the official website (and collecting all the fanclub member information, and passing it onto the creator).
Besides music - my hobbies are chemistry (organic and non-organic), biology, pharmacology, pathophysiology/etiology, steriodogenesis, neurogenesis, neuroplasticity, ontology, epistemology, semantics, psychology, philosphy, psychiatry, spirituality (oriental and occidental mysticism, thelema (Aliester Crowley - OTO/A.'.A.'.), the golden dawn, hermeticism, alchemy, rosicrucianism, theosphy (Madame Helena Petrova Blatvasky), chaos magick, discordianism, church of the sub-genius, propoent of Robert Anton Wilsons "Maybe Logic" and guerilla ontology, psychonaut, witchcraft, shintoism, buddhism, taoism, hinduism, Yogi practicies (meditation - particular Kundalini Mediation, Trantra, and Hatha Flow Yoga), and the list goes on haha - I love all spiritual practices, use what works, leave what does - studying all systems).
Big fan of Nootropics - transhumanism, longevity/expanding consciousness, enlightenment/illumination, knowledge, increasing health of body, mind/brain and spirit, psychedelics (tryptamines & phenethylamines)/entheogens/empatheogen-entactoegens, dissasociatives, cutting edge research chemicals (across the spectrum).
I have ADHD (for which I take Vyvanse/Lisdexamfetamine 70mg P.O. ED), post-traumatic stress disorder, general and social anxiety disorder, (for which I take Clonazepam/Klonopin 4mg PRN P.O. and 60mg of Temazepam/Restoril PRN P.O.), TMJ, RLS (thanks to discontinuation syndrome from anti-psychotic med Seroquel and SSRI Prozac - wont touch either with a 10 foot pole), treatment resistant depression and insomnia (which both the vyvanse and clonzepam/temazepam help). Nootropics also help me with the ADHD and creatively/learning - personal favorites are Noopept (some say it doesn't work but, I like it so :shrug:), Centrophenoxine, Racetams (lately phenylpiracetam and piracetam), GABA, Picamilon, Phenibut (as an anxiety supplements/to give my body more endogenous GABA to release, mostly - don't really see it as a nootropic), and AMPAkines. Currently dealing with a slipped disc at L5-S1 (compressing my sciatic nerves) from a bad fall for basically 2 years now - Sucks not being able to exercise/do yoga like I used to (big destresser, and before the slipped disc I was in the best shape/health of my life, now due to inactivity and pain - I lost that sadly) - still need to go to physical therapy, surgery at this point in time isnt even an option (Id rather deal with the pain, if i can get it to a reasonable area, than have a surgery that has less success stories than it does negative outcomes and further injury). I beleive I'm allergic to corticosteroids because Medrol drove me absolutely batty mentally, mood swings, anger, depression, anxiety like ive never felt before, made the pain actually worse rather than better - specifically medrol/methylpredisolone - and drove my blood pressure and heart rate through the roof to the point where I thought I was gonna suffer ischemia from crazy hypertension and felt like my brain was gonna burst - til I took some beta-blockers. Thinking about a pain clinic but the idea of being reliant on a flippant medical system, and any kind of opiate/opioid doesn't make me happy one bit. NSAIDs, OTC or RX'd do naddah for the pain (not that theres much difference other than the RX may be more specific for/have better binding affiinities for - COX-1 or COX-2 and probably do a double whammy on your liver and stomache) - Aspirin same thing - Tylenol does provide a little relief (I attest this to it being a pro-drug from AM404 - an endogenous cannabinoid reuptake inhibitor) - Marijuana/Cannabinoids provide the only pain relief Ive found thus far (as well as treating basically all my other ailments - thinking of moving to a medical state and getting a card or WA/CO where they legalized it). Lyrica kind of did something, noticeable for the sciatcia just barely (where Gabapentin - I didnt like mentally and didnt do much at all for the nerve pain/neuropathy). I often forget to - but in the case of using NSAIDs its important to remember to take my Omeprazole (sp?) 40mg ED PO for GERD/Acid Reflux.
