I absolutely adore living in Dallas, Texas. While it’s been my home for nearly my entire life, I continue to be enchanted by it’s vibrant, dynamic, friendly energy. After living here for so many years, however, I’ll be the first to confess that it’s easy to get into a “rut” in terms of day-to-day living. Breaking the mold and trying new things can be difficult once you establish a few favorite spots! But as Dallas has undergone such growth and change in the past few years, I decided to parter with Sole Society in branching out and trying something new… a trip to try the food trucks at Klyde Warren Park!

This incredible park is smack in the middle of downtown, and is actually built over a huge highway. Each day, an incredible variety of food trucks make their way to the area for lunchtime. I like to keep things pretty simple for lunch, usually making a smoothie at home and calling it a day, so switching things up was such a fun change! After a bit of browsing, I decided on, wait for it… an ice cream sandwich. Let me tell y’all, after the experience I fully endorse ice cream for lunch. Or any meal, for that matter!

The pom pom clutch and open-toed booties I wore to the park proved to be just as sweet as the ice cream. I’m sure you could have called this from a mile away, but I am smitten with the detailing on the clutch. The fun accents make it a statement piece, but the neutral pallet means you can incorporate it into a myriad of different outfits! I’m also loving these booties, as they’re a great way to transition from winter to spring while adding something fun and new to your wardrobe! Sole Society currently has the cutest selection of clothing and accessories, perfect for everything from exploring your own city to heading out on a spring break adventure. I’m especially loving this flirty dress and these gold statement earrings!

I had so much fun discovering a new side to my city, that I’ve been inspired to hunt for more fun things to do around Dallas… new restaurants, new workouts, new boutiques, etc! If you have any recommendations, I’m all ears! Wishing each of you the loveliest day! (And here’s my encouragement to go try something new for yourself!)

Love from Texas,

Kate
