Cording Real Estate Group
The real estate investment management firm has appointed Ewan Montgomery as director of investment in its London office. He joins from Aberdeen Asset Management, where he was a property fund director. Montgomery has also held roles at CBRE.
Lloyds Banking Group
Richard Jones has been appointed managing director for Black Horse in the bank’s consumer finance division. He has held a number of senior roles within the Group’s insurance division, most recently as director of annuities and protection propositions and bancassurance. Jones takes over from Chris Sutton, who is retiring after 28 years at Lloyds.
Peel Hunt
The corporate broking, advisory and trading house has announced two appointments to its research division. Peter Mallin-Jones joins the mining team. He most recently worked at Canaccord Genuity, and was also an equity analyst at Goldman Sachs for over a decade. Andreas van Embden joins the insurance team from JP Morgan Cazenove, where he was a senior analyst covering UK/European life and non-life insurers. Van Embden has also held roles at MeesPierson.
Bond Dickinson
The law firm has appointed Sushma MacGeoch as a partner in its insurance disputes team. She joins Bond Dickinson’s London office from Kennedys. MacGeoch has particular experience in the professional indemnity field.
Research Affiliates
The asset management business has appointed Charles Aram as head of Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He joins from Henderson Rowe, a discretionary investment management firm he co-founded in 2002, where he was chief executive. Aram has over 20 years’ experience in the industry.
Palace Capital
The property investment firm has appointed Stephen Silvester as finance director. He was most recently group financial controller at NewRiver Retail, an Aim-listed real estate investment trust.
TLT
Noline Matemera has been appointed financial services regulatory partner in the law firm’s City office. She joins from Stephenson Harwood’s financial services team, and has also held roles at the FSA.
