Is there such a thing as Ski Fashion for mums and kids? Well, of course there is. No matter where I go, I love wearing good looking clothes that are flattering for my not perfect round figure and I also want my son to feel comfortable while doing sport.

It’s been a couple of years since my last skiing holiday so now it’s time to get my heads round to prepare the right equipment and active wear for a sporting week in the cold. Last time we went I realised too late that I did not have the correct clothing and gear and as a result I felt cold most of the time, which prevented me to enjoy many fun outdoor activities. But this year, I got organised and found everything we need for our skiing holiday.

Diego and I have enjoyed modelling our favourite outdoor clothing by Mountain Warehouse.

Kids Ski Fashion

Diego’s complete skiing outfit includes the following:

A ski jacket

On the slopes and beyond, this Kids Ski Jacket is extra warm and comfortable but also cool in its yellow, grey and black patterns. Designed in durable snowproof fabric with soft fleece lining, a detachable hood and multiple pockets – ideal for snowball fights.

A very smart bluette salopette i.e. ski pants, which is made by very robust material but flexible and comfortable at the same time allowing him to move while skiing or coming down the mountain on his sledge.

Diego could not wait to be on the snow and tried the sledge in the kitchen fully dressed with his new equipment.

Ski boots

The Caribou kid’s striped snow boots are functional and easily strapped on the side. The straps are essentials because kids are often on the piste with the instructors and they need to be able to take on and off their ski boots independently. These boots are snow proof with a high traction sole perfect for use with a sledge or play in the snow. The inner is lined with sherpa fleece, ensuring toes stay warm whilst a footbed which mould to feet provide all day comfort. The stripe design stands out and looks great, making them the perfect boots for winter.

Heavy ski socks

The Patterned Ski Tubes are bright and fun, lightweight, durable and extra warm. They are fully machine washable for easy care.

Ski Helmet

This robust Ascend Kids Ski Helmet provides protection for children. It’s designed in a lightweight and durable plastic shell, the interior has a soft fleece lining to retain warmth and give some extra comfort. The quick release chin strap keeps the helmet attached to the head when moving or tumbling, whilst also providing a quick release solution.

Ski Fashion for mums

The Heuz Extreme Womens Ski Jacket is made with fabric with taped seams, RECCO® reflectors and good insulation for comfort and warmth, while the adjustable waistbelt adds a feminine style. It feels really smooth and warm. I only wore a light cotton shirt underneath with temperatures reaching minus 3 degrees Celcius and I still felt warm. The hood adds extra insulation and warmth. I love the fact that it has four front pockets, one internal Mp3 pocket, one internal goggle and a mobile phone pocket.

These Ski Pants called Isola Extreme have a breathable and waterproof fabric with taped seams, which kept me completely dry, warm and comfortable. I love the multiple pockets, and make me look quite stylish while doing sporting activities. Interestingly enough, they have advanced rescue technology, RECCO® reflectors which bounce back location information in case of an avalanche. I find this particularly important in the light of recent avalanche accidents on mountain locations. Another excellent feature is the highly breathable fabric which lets moisture out, making sure I stay dry on the inside. The Snow Gaiters are amazing and will help prevent snow getting into my salopettes.

These boots are absolutely stunning and cosy. They don’t let anything is, either cold, snow or dirt. You can get them from Mountain Warehouse store online
