The Original UK Jazz Summer School takes place at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Bute Park in Cardiff from 24-30 July and still has a few remaining places available for singers.

Buster Birch writes:

"Singers are well catered for on our course. They are given special attention each morning from their dedicated vocal coach, who this year is Pete Churchill . One of the most highly regarded jazz educators in the UK, he has worked with many jazz greats including Cleo Lane, Norma Winstone, Mark Murphy and Bobby McFerrin, and is also leader of the London Vocal Project who are currently recording a vocal version of the classic Miles Ahead album, for which Pete and the legendary Jon Hendricks have written lyrics.

Nia Lynn is a highly acclaimed jazz singer and also a professional voice coach for the Royal Shakespeare Company. She will be offering warm-up sessions each morning."

Applications are available to download at the OJSS website. Details of the singers' daily schedule
