This is a sponsored post on behalf of Sambrook’s Brewery.
Whether you’re a lover of beer, lazy days by the river, or fun and foodie outdoor festivals, Beer by the River is an event sure to tickle your fancy.
Sambrook’s Brewery turns five this year and because they want to celebrate their birthday with you, they have teamed up with the National Trust’s Morden Hall Park to create a festival of craft beer, food, music, entertainers and brewers from around the UK. If you enjoy a good view while sipping your drink then you’re in luck, as Beer by the River takes place at the National Trust’s Morden Hall Park – a green south London oasis that sits alongside the River Wandle.
The event is split into two sessions, but throughout there will be a host of live acts curated by Artful Badger, the live arts entertainment company. If you get peckish, then a BBQ will be on offer from the award-winning Ginger Pig and seafood/vegetarian options come courtesy of Clapham restaurant, Fish Club.
Beer by the River is not just for grown-ups. 12-5pm is a family friendly time with activities such as face painting and a petting farm from Deen City Farm for the little ones. However, from 6pm the festival becomes adults-only with live music and of course, a great selection of craft beer.
To celebrate their birthday, Sambrook’s will be creating a one-off ale, exclusively brewed for Beer by the River. In addition to this they will also be serving their range of award-winning ales, including their full range of cask ales and popular keg Pale Ale. Or if you want to branch out, then a range of carefully selected guest beers will also be available to try.
If that sounds like your kind of Saturday, then Sambrook’s Brewery is offering you a £1.50 discount off your ticket purchase. Just enter the voucher code SB150 at checkout.
Beer by the River takes place at Morden Hall Park on Saturday 14 September from 12-11pm. Tickets for each session are £19 in advance or £22 on the door (includes a £5 food voucher and for over 18s, a 1/3 pint of Sambrook’s specially brewed beer, a pint of ale and a festival glass), £5 for children (with free soft drink and ice cream).
