Premier Inn’s trendy, techie brand Hub has opened its third location in Spitalfields, on Brick Lane. The brand’s other two hotels are in Covent Garden and Tower Bridge.

The new property is in a central location, just like the other two. It’s just ten minutes’ walk from Liverpool Street Station, giving it excellent links to the rest of London and elsewhere. Among the 189 rooms in the new hotel, some of them are Hub Bigger rooms, also featured at the Tower Bridge property, which opened in December 2015.

Hub by Premier Inn Spitalfields also features other perks found at the other two Hub hotels. The ProvenDough Deli and Bar makes an appearance once again, serving a selection of breakfasts, quick meals, and hot and cold drinks. The bedrooms aim to be stylish and cater to the tech crowd, with everything controllable from Hub’s mobile app. Comfort is key too, from the Hypnos beds to dual showers and 40″ smart TVs.

One of the noticeable things about Hub’s rooms is their clever use of space.

Several budget brands in London have been cutting down on space to keep prices low. Hub’s rooms offer storage under the bed and pull-out desks to maximise the amenities while keeping square footage to a minimum.

The high-tech features of the other hotels appear in the new one too. Express check-in kiosks make arrival easy, while fast and free WiFi keeps everyone connected. The Hub by Premier Inn app allows control of lights, temperature, the smart TV, and even the “do not disturb” sign on the door.

With one Hub hotel in London each year so far since 2014, we can expect to see more in the near future. Eight more properties have been secured in London already. The brand also opened a Scottish property in Edinburgh‘s Royal Mile, with a further two still to come in the capital.
