The Merrimack Valley Chapter of SCORE has announced a call for entries in its two business competitions:
A Business Concept Competition for high school students in entrepreneurial classes; and
A Business Plan for “Next Steps” Competition for existing area small businesses seeking to grow.
A total of $10,000 in prize money is to be awarded. The deadline for submitting an “Intent to Participate” application is March 31, 2017. Winners will be announced at Merrimack Valley SCORE’s 50th Anniversary Gala, to be held in December.

The competitions are part of Merrimack Valley SCORE’s year-long 50th anniversary celebration, which is being sponsored by TD Charitable Foundation, Orr & Reno, Melanson Heath and the SCORE Association.
The Merrimack Valley NH Chapter of SCORE, which covers Nashua, Manchester, Concord and the surrounding areas, has approximately 65 current and former business executives available to provide free, confidential, one-on-one business counseling and training workshops for area start-ups and existing businesses.
