November 20 WHITFORD ST. HOLMES

After selling tens of millions of records around the world with Aerosmith and Ted Nugent, Brad Whitford and Derek St. Holmes have reunited for their second record and world tour.

Whitford/St.Holmes self-titled debut received strong radio play and as well as critical reviews followed by a very successful run of US dates. However, shortly after its release their respective camps reunited and those schedules simply did not allow for a follow up… until now! The newly reunited line up also features drummer Troy Luccketta from Tesla and Nashville A-lister, bassist Chopper Anderson. The band’s second release is slated for early 2016 with a new single arriving this Fall.

January 8 TUPELO NIGHT OF COMEDY

This killer night of comedy features three great comedians. Join us as Jim Colliton, Dan Crohn, and Lois Dupuis bring two hours of laughs to Tupelo on a cold January night.

January 20 JOSHUA DAVIS

Joshua Davis was raised in the folk tradition: the music, the social movements, the land. He writes songs that blend the roots of American music with gritty rock n‘ roll and vintage soul. Performing Songwriter Magazine called the result, “Some of the liveliest and most rocking roots music around.”

For over 15 years Joshua has made his living sharing his songs, stories and knowledge across the US and Canada at festivals, concert halls, coffeehouses and dives – as a solo act, front man for roots ensemble “Steppin’ In It”, classic swing band “Shout Sister Shout”, songwriter showcase band “The Starlight Six” and frequently as a workshop facilitator, presenter or instructor.

His music is steeped in ragtime blues, sweet jazz and real country but Davis’s broad schooling in the cultural, political and musical roots of American tradition has resulted in more than a simple retelling of universal themes. Dubbed, “the Michigan version of the Great American Songscape” (Chris Reitz, Elderly Instruments), his catalog is a seamless snapshot of American past and present. Joshua has shared stages with a diverse list of luminaries, such as Tim O’Brien, Greg Brown, The Indigo Girls, Leftover Salmon, The Dixie Hummingbirds, Corey Harris, John Gorka, Jeff Daniels, Ellis Paul, The Blind Boys of Alabama, Jimmy LaFave, Ray Bonneville, Arlo Guthrie, Abigail Washburn, Larry McCray, Sunny Wilkinson, Catie Curtis, Bill Kirchen, Peter “Madcat” Ruth, Bernie Leadon, Wayne Hancock, The Verve Pipe, John Hammond, Pete Seeger and Preservation Hall Jazz Band.

February 19 JONATHA BROOKE

American folk-rock, singer-songwriter and guitarist Jonatha Brooke merges elements of folk, rock and pop with poignant lyrics and complex harmonies. A performer, writer, and artist since the late 1980s, her songs have been featured in television and film. Most recently she staged her first musical, My Mother Has Four Noses, to rave reviews among critics and audiences alike.

Jonatha Brooke has been writing songs, making records and touring since her early days in Boston with her band The Story. After two albums, Grace in Gravity and The Angel in the House, Brooke went solo and released two more albums, Plumb and Ten Cent Wings. She has recorded with Joe Sample, Christian McBride, Steve Gadd, Greg Leisz, Davy Knowles, Chris Botti, and has released seven more albums independently. Her musical influences – Rickie Lee Jones, Suzanne Vega, The Beatles, Stevie Wonder, The Who, Joni Mitchell, and the musicals West Side Story, Godspell and The Sound of Music are apparent throughout her catalogue. Her critically acclaimed album, The Works, combines previously unheard, unpublished Woody Guthrie lyrics with her own music and arrangements. “The experience of going through Guthrie’s archives was like going to church… I think he’s inspired all of us, in some way. It was sacred ground,” Brooke says.

Additionally, Brooke has co-written songs with Katy Perry and The Courtyard Hounds, written for four Disney films including Finding Neverland and various television shows like Ally McBeal and Buffy, The Vampire Slayer, and composed the theme song for Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse. Her Off-Broadway musical debut, My Mother Has Four Noses is a mother-daughter love story about Brooke’s experiences caring for her mother during the final two years of her life. The play enjoyed a ten-week run at The Duke on 42nd Street and was a New York Times Critics’ Pick. The paper called the play, “Devastating and gorgeous. A poignantly funny, beautifully created narrative.” Brooke has three other musicals currently in development: Quadroon, with legendary jazz pianist Joe Sample; Hopper, and Death and Venice, both with playwright Anton Dudley.
