MTV is an American-based television channel launched on 1981, that the original purpose was to play music videos. Owned by the MTV Networks Music & Logo Group, a division of Viacom.
MTV’s name originally an initialism of “Music Television”, the original MTV logo was designed in 1981 by Manhattan Design, under the guidance of MTV’s former creative director, Fred Seibert. The ‘M’ was sketched by Patty Rogoff, with the ‘TV’ spray painted by Frank Olinsky. Full story>>
