Conestoga Log Cabins Kits: A Brief History The idea behind Conestoga Log Cabins and Homes was developed nearly 30 years ago with a mission to be the leading log cabin kit manufacturer in the industry. In 1983, after ten years of R&D and several generations of machinery, we produced our first log cabin kit for the campground rental market. Over the next 30 years, the initial concepts and processes have evolved into a streamlined, 100,000 square foot, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, located in Lebanon, PA. Through the years we have expanded and developed the markets we serve beyond the campground rental market on which our business was originally conceived. Today, Conestoga Log Cabins serves arguably the broadest cross-section of markets in the log cabin kit industry, including; campgrounds, camps, resort developers, individuals, the US Military, as well as county, state and federal parks. Our product offering has expanded as well, including; simple rustic and full service cabins for rental programs, bunkhouses & bathhouses, commercial & multi-purpose structures, vacation cabins and log homes used as a primary residence. We are only limited by the creative solutions we develop to meet our customer’s needs. As our product offering expanded we identified a need to provide more and better service to our customers. Instead of simply providing assembly services we expanded our service offering to include complete General Contracting Services, whether it’s a single vacation home or multi-cabin project for a resort developer. Our staff brings decades of experience to each project, whether it is designing, manufacturing or building a Conestoga log cabin.
