เปิดโผรายชื่อผู้เข้าชิงรางวัลเพื่อคนดนตรีไปเป็นที่เรียบร้อย สำหรับงานประกาศรางวัล Grammy Awards ครั้งที่ 59 ที่ปีนี้ได้วางตัวให้ James Cordon พิธีกรหนุ่มชื่อดังเจ้าของรายการ Carpool-Karaoke เตรียมมาสร้างสีสัน เรียกเสียงหัวเราะบนเวที พร้อมประกาศรางวัลอันทรงเกียรติที่เหล่าแฟนเพลงต่างรอลุ้นจากการคัดเลือกผ่านคะแนนเสียงผู้คนในแวดวงอุตสาหกรรมดนตรีกว่า 13,000 คน และผลงานกว่า 20,000 อัลบั้ม
ซึ่งจากโผรายชื่อผู้เข้าชิงรางวัลในปีนี้ เห็นทีผลงานอัลบั้ม Lemonade จากบียอนเซ่ ขึ้นแท่นเป็นตัวเต็งถูกเสนอเข้าชิงมากที่สุดถึง 9 รางวัล เบียดเสียดมากับผลงานอัลบั้ม 25 จากดีว่าเสียงทรงพลังอย่างสาวอะเดลที่ต้องมาวัดความนิยมกันเกือบจะทุกสาขา ซึ่งแน่นอนว่างานยังต้องศึกหนักอย่างผลงานของหนุ่มเดรก จากอัลบั้ม A Sailor’s Guide to Earth ร่วมทัพด้วยผลงานอัลบั้ม Purpose ของจัสติน บีเบอร์ ที่ติดโผเข้าชิงรางวัลตามกันมาติดๆ รวมไปถึงสาขา Best Song of the Year ที่เพลงฮิตติดหูอย่างจัสติน บีเบอร์ ในเพลง Love Yourself ก็ขอลงสนามประเดิมแข่งกับควีนบีในเพลง Formation ร่วมด้วยเพลงดังข้ามปีอย่าง Hello จากอะเดล ซึ่งเป็นรางวัลใหญ่ที่น่าจับตาไม่แพ้กัน
