With this post, we wrap up our overview of LMD activities at the 2018 annual conference in Baltimore with a few more highlights.
The Karen J Switt Leadership award was presented to Bill Noorlander at the LMD Breakfast Bookclub on June 11 (pictured at left). Congratulations to Bill!
The LMD Social on Monday evening was a lively gathering with lots of networking. Our 2015 LMD Chair, Karen Reczek, was recognized during the reception as the 2018 recipient of the Association’s John Cotton Dana award. Congratulations to Karen! A very special thank you goes to Janel for managing all of the details to bring us a terrific program in 2018. Our 2019 conference Planner, Thérèse Mainville-Celso, was also able to attend the conference, getting a head start on planning for next year’s annual conference in Cleveland, Ohio. Watch for information about LMD’s plans for next year in the coming months.

Members of the LMD Board met over lunch on Monday to review plans during the conference, talk about recruiting for leadership positions opening up in 2019 and brainstorm new initiatives. It was a great opportunity to be together in person after working together virtually during the rest of the year.
