Right before Christmas I posted Part One of the Denali Dream Drive & the visit to the 2014 HGTV dream home. Can I tell you that I still think of that trip & that house daily? It was that amazing. Most of you already know my passion for design & home decor. Well that passion leaks into every part of my life. I love & appreciate pretty design in every part of my everyday so that is why I am still thinking of this trip. The beautiful design of the home, the stunning design of the GMC denalis, & the gorgeous design of God’s creation. the trip had it all. I would go back in a heartbeat & I would love to take you all with me! Well, since I don’t see that happening in the near future, I wanted to take you on a virtual tour of the dream home here on the blog…

Here is the layout of the bottom floor of the home. I liked that there were separate wings of the house for the living areas & the bedrooms. With all of that it still had a lovely open feel to the home that I was obsessed with! Let’s start the tour in the living room…

The living room is stunning. I mean, look at those windows & those ceilings. Besides that the furniture with the yellow & gray & pops of neutrals. By the way the furniture in the home is mostly all Ethen Allen if you were wondering. The living room is right off the kitchen & I love how open the floor plan is & how light & bright the house is with all of the windows.

The kitchen & dining room are one of my favorite spaces as well. They are right off the living room & also have that really open feel. The kitchen is full of goodies like an espresso machine, wine fridge, beautiful elements like the wood backsplash & marble countertops, & of course the windows & lighting make the space pop! I love the metal open shelves too!

The master bedroom is amazing! I loved all of the seating in the room & the pops of warm orange & yellow. All of the mix of patterns through out the room add so much interest & detail. I felt like every time I walked back in this space there was something new to look at. I also love that the fireplace in the room is also on the outside of the home as well. I added that to my wish list for a dream home one day!

I wanted to take a bath in the master bathroom so bad! It looked so relaxing. Just have to make sure you shut the curtains before you get undressed I loved how they used the space in the bathroom. It wasn’t huge, but they made such great use of the space & added so many great details!

On to the top floor of the home. The top floor was awesome because it not only held more bedrooms, but it also had a large living area that was a great hangout space. Let’s start int he family media room…

The media room upstairs is so cozy & warm! I imagined myself watching movies up there {or blogging!} & I fell in love. I loved the navy & orange combination & the cozy masculine touch that it added. & can we talk about that light fixture? I’m obsessed. I also loved that there was a little patio area off the media room too.

The guest bedroom & bathroom were so sweet & lovely. I loved the large bed & large clock in the smaller room. It made me want to add this bed in our guest bedroom! I also loved the dark walls & pops of coral. It was all so fun!

There was a little seating area in the hallway that was so sweet & added a lot of charm in the walkway between the media room & guest room to the kids room.

The kids room was so fun! I loved the double bunk beds & the pops of red & navy. In front of the bunk beds were 4 TVs on the wall {one for each bed, wow!} I also loved the curtains separating the bedroom from the hallway in the room to the bathroom. The whole room was just full of wow factors & I wouldn’t mind sleeping in this room!

The outdoor patio in the back is the perfect place to host parties! The fireplace {the one that is on the backside of the master bedroom} the view of the mountains and the golf course & of course the smores station make it perfect!

The entryways in the house are very inviting as well! I was a huge fan of the wood door & also the metal wall & lighting lighting in the spaces as well!

We got to meet  Jack Thomasson {right} who is the master mind behind all of the HGTV dream homes & we were also privileged to meet the architect, David Bourke, of the home as well. It was so interesting to hear the story behind them finding the location of the house & the plans that went into designing the home.

Here we are at the end of the tour in our group. This group was so fun & I’m so thankful to GMC for inviting me on this amazing trip. I laughed a lot, & got to see some beautiful design. It was truly the perfect trip to Lake Tahoe!! & let’s just take a second to really take in God’s beautiful creation surrounding Lake Tahoe…

Wow! I was seriously in awe of that sunset on the lake & feel so blessed to have witnessed it! Like I said earlier the design of the home, the design of the denali, & the design of nature were all huge parts of this trip. I hope you liked the tour of the home! What did you think of it? What was your favorite part? I would love to hear from you! Leave a comment below, find me on facebook, & chat with me on Instagram. Also, be sure to check out part one of the trip {here}!
