3 quarters of a year have flown by and we are so excited for your continued milestones. From barely crawling to going so fast that even I have to make an effort to catch up, standing on your own constantly, and even taking a couple of unassisted steps. Taylor, you are in such a hurry to catch up to your sister that you’re flying through them all.
Your physical abilities seem to have no boundaries. One moment you are pulling up on the furniture, the next you are walking alongside it, and now you’re letting go and taking a couple of steps in the direction of your choice. You are balancing on your own two feet with ease and love to just stand and play with something. You have perfected crawling and will fly from room to room in seconds, leaving my breathless as I try to catch up.
Along with crawling and standing and almost walking, you are really good at signing. You have perfected “more,” can clearly say “all done” although it isn’t a perfect sign, and also understand “eat” and “milk.” You clap, attempt and actually kind of look like you’re doing the “itsy bitsy spider” and “twinkle twinkle.” I’m even pretty sure that you say “yay” when you’re clapping.
You’re actually on a really solid schedule now with two long naps and 3 meals of solids.
You usually wake up around 6am, nurse and then play until 8/830.
On the days that you go to school, you eat breakfast at school. If we’re home, we sit down for some Cheerios, yogurt with fruit, pancakes, waffles or, your personal favorite, eggs.
You go down for your first nap at 9:30 and sleep until 10:30am. You nurse again around 11.
Lunch is usually around 12:30pm and you gobble up whatever is around you. Along with some pureed foods (we still have so much in the freezer), you love to pick at our lunches. You love toast, cheese, peas, avocados, pears, apples, squash, sweet potatoes, chicken nuggets. You are not a huge fan of carrots and make the funniest face. We’ve given the “ok” to daycare to feed you finger foods as well and they report back that you’re a huge fan of just about everything.
From 1:30pm to 3/3:30pm you take a long nap. At the same time as your sister. That is just the most amazing thing ever.
You nurse again around 4pm and then play until dinnertime.
Dinner is at 6pm and you again go for whatever we’re eating. Rice, pasta, chicken and even some fish. You love most veggies and fruits. We love watching you gobble it all up with concentration.
On the days that we give you girls a bath we go in the tubby around 6:40. The other days we play and clean up the house before bedtime.
Bedtime is at 7pm. Daddy gets you ready in your pjs while I help with your sister and then he reads you books. Around 7:15pm I take over, you nurse and fall asleep. For the most part you sleep through the night.
We love you, our sweetest doodle. Happy 9 months.
