Hi,
I am looking for a way to help my pembantu who is pregnant in her first trimester and seems to have complications. She has been offsick for 3 weeks and I am pretty certain that she is not going to make it. She had vagina infection and a bit of bleeding, very early contraction, the embryo is too small for 8 weeks. She has been offsick for 3 weeks and will stay home until 15 Nov. Foremost, she has no clue about pregnancy at all.
I was so disappointed that although I explained to her that she should start with the puskesmas and what kind of checkup/tests she should have, she decided to go 3 times to the private hospitals in Tangerang (where she has her KTP issued and which does not make any sense with the private hospitals), having paid 200k each for nothing. Doctors did not do any tests (for her vagina infection or blood tests), the only advice she got from them was to wait, and that maybe she has contracted some virus from pets or uncooked food. Offered to go with her to RS. Fatmawati (as it is close to my office so I wouldn't have to spend my whole precious day holiday for her), she refused because "my husband said it is not good". Even when I offered to take her to RS. Pondok Indah or RS. Cipto and asked her to check their prices first, she called and said "they said if mrs. want to know the price, mrs. has to go there". At one point I really wanted to tell her that it is her pregnancy that we talked about, not mine.
Although I am mad with her now and I am not sure if she can come back to work for us (since I have pets), I still want to find a way to help. I have only a small income per month so no way I can cover her complications, I am looking for a longer term solution and it seems that Jampersal is the only option. With my very limited Indonesian language and the help of google translation, I understand that I may be able to help her enroll.
So please can anyone, who is familiar with this Jampersal scheme, tell me:
- is she eligible to participate in the programme now?
- what is the process for her to get enrolled?
- is it correct that once she is in, she will need to go to Puskesmas first and if necessary will be referred to the provincial/national hospitals later on?
Thanks :-)
