Go Fish – 9 a.m. – noon. Want to go fishing or take your kids fishing, but don’t know where to start? Families can learn the basics of fishing through fun, hands-on activities at Go Fish! events at Texas State Parks. Kids can get fishing fun pack and enter the drawing for door prizes. Equipment and bait is provided, or you can bring your own. Some loaner rods are available. You don’t need a fishing license necessary, but adults must accompany children. Don’t forget to bring sun protection, a hat, sunglasses and water! Program for children ages 5 and up.

Fall Youth Fishing Tournament - 9 a.m. to noon. Wells Branch hosts the annual youth fishing tournament for ages 17 and under. The Pumpkin Express (Cedar Park) - 11 a.m., returns at 2:30 p.m., Join us for this new annual tradition! The Pumpkin Express takes you to the sleepy town of Bertram where we will step off for 30 minutes to pick a pumpkin from the Depot Pumpkin Patch. Kids of all ages will enjoy a chat with Farmer Brown, take a tour of our historic 1912 train depot, and sip apple cider. So pack a lunch and jump on board! All cars are pulled by our 1960 Alco diesel locomotive. Parties of two may be seated at shared tables. This ride is 3.5 hours round trip with a 30 minute layover. Tickets start at $26. Pumpkin Festival (Elgin) – Noon – 5:30 p.m., Fall family fun for everyone! Parents can enjoy the live music (and eating great food) while the kids stay busy decorating pumkins, competing in the duck races and playing on the playground. Just a Minute! A Día de los Muertos Play - 12:30 p.m., Celebrate el día de los muertos with this staged adaptation of Yuyi Morales’s fantastical award-winning books Just a Minute and Just in Case. Señor Calavera wants Grandma Beetle to leave with him right away, but she still has one house to sweep, two pots of tea to boil, three pounds of corn to make into tortillas – and that’s just the start! Fall Fun at Sweet Berry Farm (Marble Falls) – 1-5 p.m., Harvest the fall fun at Sweet Berry Farm with mazes, Berry Bouncers, pumpkin painting, stuff your own scarecrow, hay rides, horse rides, ice cream and lots more. Admission and parking are FREE, but activities have a fee. Sweet Berry Farm, 1801 FM 1980, Marble Falls.
Evergreen Farm Pumpkin Hunt (Elgin) – 1-5 p.m., The Pumpkin Hunt is a family-friendly event where children of all ages can enjoy fall activities. All activities are ongoing throughout the day, allowing families to customize their experience at the farm. Pumpkins of all sizes will be available for purchase. The premier event, the Pumpkin Hunt ($2.50), includes a wagon ride into the Christmas tree fields where mini pumpkins are hidden in the trees. After the Hunt, enjoy pumpkin decorating on the pavilion along with the other activities and games. Evergreen Farm, 242 Monkey Road, Elgin.
