Baby Day at The Alamo Drafthouse- Movies before 2 p.m. The lights are up a bit, the sound is down a bit so moms and dads can head to the movies without the babies even knowing that they were at the movies. National Dance Day – Ballet Austin joins the Dizzy Feet Foundation and choreographers from the popular FOX TV show SYTYCD to celebrate and promote dance and movement for National Dance Day. Join us as we begin dancing and moving to the beat in the morning and see who can dance all day! Individual classes in a variety of dance styles and levels of ability start all day long. Come for one class or DANCE ALL DAY! Classes like Zumba, ballet, jazz, modern, Michael Jackson Videodance BAD, and of course the, dance routines created just for National Dance Day by SYTYCD choreographers Twitch and Travis Wall. Child Safety Fair (San Marcos) – 10 a.m., to 2 p.m., San Marcos Premium Outlets invites area families for a day of safety education that will be held in the parking lot by Auntie Anne’s in the area in front of Pottery Barn Outlet, and will feature various activities and exhibits that focus on child safety awareness for the entire family. In partnership with Texas in Motion, Baylor Scott & White Health will be educating caregivers on proper child car seat use and offering free car seat inspections by Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians*. Children and parents alike can also spend the afternoon learning from the brave San Marcos Fire Department as they share important safety tips for kids. Attendees will have the opportunity to tour a fire engine and squad car, as well as pose for pictures with the firefighters.
