Visit with a Park Ranger at Austin Public Library – 2 p.m.,  Join us for a special visit from a City of Austin Park Ranger! Baby Day at The Alamo Drafthouse-  Movies before 2 p.m. The lights are up a bit, the sound is down a bit so moms and dads can head to the movies without the babies even knowing that they were at the movies. Nature Nights at Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center: Snakes- 6-9 p.m., Join us for FREE family fun Thursday evenings this summer. Each evening features interactive presentations, hikes with experts in their fields, and nature crafting for kids of all ages. Visits during the day of each Nature Night are also free this summer. The Hound of the Baskervilles (Round Rock) – 8 p.m., The Hound of the Baskervilles is the fifth production in the “Penfold in the Park” series, an annual offering of free, outdoor summer theatre, made possible by a partnership with the Round Rock Parks & Recreation Dept. Performances take place in the amphitheater of the Centennial Plaza. Each performance will feature a different special guest who will kick off the evening with a 7:30pm pre-show. A list of pre-show performers will be posted in late May.  Audiences are welcome to arrive early with their own food and drink, or to purchase it from the concessions tent. Movies in the Park: Tremors – 8:30 p.m., Movies in the Park is a series of free films brought to you by the Austin Parks Foundation, and presented by the #1 movie theater in America, the Alamo Drafthouse. Each year, APF and the Drafthouse bring you totally free movies right in downtown Austin. Residents and visitors bring their blanket or lawn chairs (and often a picnic dinner!) for a fun and relaxing evening under the beautiful Austin night sky.  Dogs, picnics, and lawn chairs are welcome. Alcoholic beverages, glass and styrofoam are not permitted in the park. We do provide recycling bins, but ask that you help us out by packing out all of your own trash. Create Your Own: Mini Quilt – 11 a.m., As part of the 100 Days of Stories at the Bullock Museum, kids and families will make and take home their own artifacts in this art workshop. The Hound of the Baskervilles (Round Rock) – 8 p.m., The Hound of the Baskervilles is the fifth production in the “Penfold in the Park” series, an annual offering of free, outdoor summer theatre, made possible by a partnership with the Round Rock Parks & Recreation Dept. Performances take place in the amphitheater of the Centennial Plaza. Each performance will feature a different special guest who will kick off the evening with a 7:30pm pre-show. A list of pre-show performers will be posted in late May.  Audiences are welcome to arrive early with their own food and drink, or to purchase it from the concessions tent. Running time: About 2 hours, including one intermission.  For ages 5 and up. FREE! Donations appreciated. Round Rock Amphitheatre, 301 W. Bagdad Ave., Round Rock.

Movies Under the Stars: Robots – Movie begins at dusk. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets and snacks to enjoy an outdoor movie! FREE! Free popcorn and drink at every showing. Metz Recreation Center, 2407 Canterbury Street.
