Have you been wanting to get your child on a sports team, but not sure what it out there? Is he or she on a team, but ready to try another sport? There is a lot to choose from when it comes to youth sports in Austin! Here is a list of the youth sports leagues in and around Austin, organized by sport. Note: although many deadlines have passed, there is still availability in some leagues, so check the links to see if there is a late registration period or if the leagues are not yet full.

BASEBALL, SOFTBALL AND T-BALL

Balcones Youth Sports – Open to boys ages 4-18 for Palomino Baseball and girls ages 4-14 for Pony Softball. Little League includes T-ball and Coach Pitch. Registration for the fall season ends in late August.

i9 Sports – Open to boys and girls ages 3-6. Ages 3-4 is T-ball and ages 5-6 is modified T-ball/Coach Pitch. Registration ends in mid-August for fall season.

Northwest Little League – Open to ages 4-12 for girls and boys. Fall season T-ball is for players that are 5 years old based on eligibility rules. Spring season T-ball is for players that are 4 or 5 years old. Registration ends in early September for fall leagues.

Oak Hill Youth Sports Association – Open to boys and girls ages 5-13. Registration ends in late August for the fall season.

South Austin Baseball – Open to boys and girls ages 5-19. Registration closes at the end of August for the fall season.

Western Hills Baseball – Open to ages 4-18. Registration closes in August for the fall season.

Western Hills Girls Softball – Open to girls ages 5 to 14. Registration closes in late August for the fall season.

YMCA of Austin – Open to ages 4-10. Formats include t-ball, coach-pitch and player-pitch. Registration ends in mid-September for fall season.

BASKETBALL

Austin Parks & Recreation – Open to boys and girls ages 12 and up. Registration ends in mid-December for the winter season.

i9 Sports – Open to boys and girls in K-7th grade. Registration ends in mid-August for fall season.

JCC – Two leagues are open for girls and boys: Rookies (5-6 years old) and Juniors (7-8 years old). The league lasts from October until December. JCC members receive a discount.

Northwest Austin Youth Basketball – Open to girls and boys from first grade through high school. Registration is open in September for the winter season, which lasts from early November through mid-February.

YMCA of Austin – Open to ages 4-14, co-ed. Registration ends in late May for summer season.

WAYA – Open to boys and girls in 3rd-8th grades. Registration ends in January for the winter season.

FLAG FOOTBALL

Austin Parks & Recreation – Open to boys and girls ages 12 and up. Registration ends in early September for the fall season.

i9 Sports – Open to boys and girls ages pre-K to 6th grade. Registration ends in mid-August for fall season.

YMCA of Austin – Open to boys and girls ages 4-12. Registration ends in mid-September for fall season.

WAYA – Open to boys and girls, Pre-K-8th grades. Registration for fall season ends at the end of August.

KICKBALL

NWA – Open to girls ages 4-18. Registration for spring season ends at the end of January.

LACROSSE

i9 Sports – Open to boys and girls in K-2nd. Registration ends in mid-August for fall season.

MULTI-SPORT

WAYA – Champs league is for children with special needs including language, learning, attention or physical that may present a challenge in participating in mainstream sports leagues. Each player is paired with a Buddy or Buddies who will assist the player in the different activities. Registration ends in mid-October for the fall season.

SOCCER

i9 Sports – Open to boys and girls in pre-K3-6th grade. Registration ends in mid-August for fall season.

NASA – Open to boys and girls ages 4-18. Registration ends in late July for the fall season. Spring season registration ends in early January.

WAYA – Open to boys and girls, Pre-K-4th grade. Registration closes at the end of August for the fall season.

YMCA of Austin – Open to boys and girls ages 4-15. YMCA offers spring, summer, fall and winter seasons. Registration for the fall season ends in early to mid-September.

VOLLEYBALL

WAYA – Co-ed league for 3rd-6th graders. Registration deadline for the fall season ends in late August.

YMCA of Austin – Co-ed league for ages 8-14. Registration for the fall season ends in mid-September.
