Whether you are on the hunt for the perfect Jack-O-Lantern, or just want a festive spot for a fall family photo op, there are pumpkin patches aplenty in Austin and beyond.  We’ve rounded up pumpkin locales both near and far, along with the dates the patches and farms will be open this fall. Austin:

Whole Foods Market
Gateway, The Domain, Bee Cave, and Arbor Trails stores

Pumpkin Palooza takes place Friday, September 26 – Sunday, September 28, 2014. Pumpkin Palooza means three whole days of pumpkin fun! Visit the participating stores from 12-5 p.m. each day for free samples, photo ops, pumpkin painting, and more!

Red Barn Garden Center

12881 Pond Springs Rd, Austin, TX

Pumpkins are on sale now.  A special fall festival is planned for Saturday, October 18, 2014, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.  This FREE event will feature a moon bounce and a petting zoo.Tarrytown United Methodist Church

The Pumpkin Patch will open for business on Monday, September 29, 2014 and will be open daily until the pumpkins run out. The hours of operation will be: Monday to Friday, from 2-7 p.m.; Saturday, from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.; Sunday, from 12-7 p.m.

Bethany Lutheran Church

3701 W. Slaughter Ln, Austin, TX

At this annual Pumpkin Patch you can find more than 2000 pumpkins of various sizes for sale. The pumpkin patch will be open October 12-31, 2014, daily from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. There will be a FREE fall festival on Sunday, October 26 from 3-7 p.m. Children can come and collect candy at decorated cars, decorate cupcakes, play carnival games, participate in a costume parade, hear stories, enjoy yummy treats and more.Austin Oaks Church

The Austin Oaks Pumpkin Patch will be open to the entire Austin community October 13-31, 2014. Come take photographs and pick out the perfect pumpkin for your family! All proceeds go to Redeemed Ministries, an organization that advocates against human trafficking and works to care for survivors. St. John’s United Methodist Church

2140 Allendale Rd, Austin, TX

St. Mark United Methodist Church

601 W Braker, Austin, TX

The Pumpkin Patch will open for the season on Saturday, October 18, 2014. Open daily through October 31, St. Mark’s pumpkin patch is a great place to find the perfect pumpkin for your fall decorations or recipes. In addition to supporting the church’s many ministries and community outreach activities, the pumpkin patch is a great backdrop for photos of your family and friends. The pumpkins range from 50¢ to about $15. Volunteers will be there there to help you shop until about 7 p.m. each day.

Greater Austin:

St. Richards Episcopal Church

1420 E. Palm Valley Blvd, Round Rock, TX

The Pumpkin Patch opens Saturday, September 27, 2014. Hours of operation: Sunday – Friday, noon-dark; Saturday, 9 a.m. – dark. The Great Pumpkin Festival is a FREE event that will be held on Sunday, October 19, 2014, from 2-6 p.m.Cross Plants and Produce

701 N. Old Highway 81, Kyle, TX

Cross Plants and Produce is an everyday farmer’s market and plant nursery in Kyle, TX. There is a large kid’s play area with picnic tables, a mini horse and mini donkey, a farm dog and bunny rabbit. Pumpkins will arrive the last week in September and the pumpkin patch will be open through October. It will be open on weekdays (except Mondays), with free activities on weekends. Pumpkin Patch will be open September 27 – October 31, 2014, from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Hawaiian Falls

18500 N SH 130 SVRD SB, Pflugerville, TXHawaiian Falls will be hosting a fall festival with a pumpkin patch every weekend from October 3 – November 2, 2014 at the new Adventure Park and Aloha Event Center. Visitors will be entertained with a variety of games, family crafts stations, activities, live music, fall food favorites and more while strolling though the decorated grounds. Admission to the festival is FREE! Tickets can be purchased for activities and crafts. Hours: Friday 3-9 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., Sunday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Manchaca United Methodist Church

1011 FM 1626 at Manchaca Rd, Manchaca, TXThe pumpkin patch will be open daily from October 4-31, 2014. Hours: Monday to Friday from 2:30–8 p.m.; Saturdays from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.; Sundays from 1-8 p.m. The MUMC Fall Festival will be held on Saturday, October 25, from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Bring your family, friends and neighbors for a day of fun! The FREE festival will include family fun, a hay ride, children’s games, a moon jump, food, a cakewalk, crafts, prizes, clowns, music and more!

ACTS Church

1304 RR 620 N, Lakeway, TXThe Pumpkin Patch will open on Saturday, October 4, 2014. Hours of operation: Monday – Friday from 12-6 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. All proceeds from the Pumpkin Patch are passed on to ACTS’ local and global mission partners. This year’s recipients include Lutheran Social Services, LINC Austin, ACTS Helping Hands, Concordia University Outreach, Lake Travis Elementary, Lake Travis Crisis Ministries, and leadership/community development in San Miguel, Guatemala.

First United Methodist Church of Pflugerville

500 East Pecan Street, Pflugerville, TX

The pumpkin patch will be open October 5-31, 2014. Hours of operation are 4:30-7 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. on weekends.

First United Methodist Church of Georgetown

410 East University Ave, Georgetown, TX

The Pumpkin Patch will be open October 6 – 31, 2014, daily, from 9 a.m. to dusk.

Kyle United Methodist Church

408 West Lockhart, Kyle, TXThe 8th annual Kyle UMC Pumpkin Patch (corner of Sledge and Lockhart) will be open from October 12–31, 2014. Hours of operation are 2:30 p.m until dusk Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. until dusk Saturday, and noon until dusk on Sunday.

There will be various prices for different sizes, from under a dollar to over $50. Also for sale are assorted fall-extras like gourds and mini-pumpkins. There’s also going to be a pumpkin maze and several staged areas so you can get your annual fall pumpkin patch photo. There will be a fall festival on Saturday, October 18, from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

King of Kings Lutheran Church

17000 Smyers Ln, Round Rock, TX

The Pumpkin Patch will be open for business Monday, October 13-17, 2014, weekdays from 12 – 8 p.m., Saturdays from 9 a.m. – 8 p.m., and on Sundays from 12-8 p.m. October 20 – 30, the hours will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. On Friday, October 31, the Patch will be open from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. A Fall Festival will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2014, from 1-3 p.m.

Beyond Austin:

Sweet Berry Farm (Marble Falls)

Harvest of Fall Fun runs September 27 – November 2, 2014. Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday; 1 – 5 p.m. on Sunday. Closed all Wednesdays. Admission is FREE and parking is FREE. The pumpkins and gourds are individually priced. Each activity has a fee. Activities include Scarecrow Island Hayrides, Candy Corn Hay Maze, pumpkin painting, scarecrow stuffing, face painting, horse rides, sand art, The Sweet Berry Express Barrel Train, The Berry Bounce, and The ‘Texas’ Maze. Barton Hills Farms (Bastrop)

Open weekends from September 27 – November 9, 2014. Saturdays, from 10 a.m. – 10 pm. and Sundays, from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Admission is $11 for adults and $8 for children.  You can save $1 if you purchase tickets online. Barton Hill Farms boasts a 5-acre corn maze, frontier games, a pumpkin patch and more.

Elgin Christmas Tree Farm (Elgin)

Open weekdays and the first and fourth weekends in October for $6 admission (ages 2 and up). The Pumpkin Festival will take place on the second and third weekends in October for $6 admission for kids (age 2 and up) and $8 for adults.  Foster children get in FREE, with legal paperwork. Active military get in FREE with valid ID. If you bring an October church bulletin, you can get a FREE mini pumpkin to paint. Sign up for the newsletter and get a coupon for one FREE child admission! Activities are included in the price of admission.  There will be hayrides, mazes, kiddie train rides (weekends only), a playground, pumpkin painting (after the purchase of a pumpkin), visiting with farm animals and more.

Evergreen Farms (Elgin)

Visit for the Pumpkin Hunt, weekends in October. Hours: Saturdays from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sundays, from 1-5 p.m. Admission is free but some activities cost $2.50 to $5. Free activities include wagon rides around the farm and a petting zoo.  Activities that cost $2.50 per ticket include a train ride, a maze, and face painting.

Silo Christmas Tree Farm (Temple)

Open weekends in October, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The cost of admission is a canned food or monetary donation for Helping Hands Ministry. Activity tickets are $1 (activities require 2-6 tickets).  Pumpkins and treats are for sale.Golden Age Home Assisted Living (Lockhart)

Visit the 3rd Annual Pumpkin Patch, October 8 – 31, 2014, daily from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.   Pumpkin prices will vary from $0.50 to $40. Some activities may cost an additional fee. Proceeds benefit the Activity Department for the residents.
