My 6 year old is in it as a 5 point harness. My 8 year old just moved into the high back booster mode and my 11 year old just moved into low back booster mode as she recently outgrew it as a high back booster (by height, not by weight).
Each step–from rear facing to forward facing to a high back booster to a low back booster to just a seatbelt is NOT a graduation, it’s a step down in safety. In fact, I’m looking to see if I can find a high back booster that will fit my 11 year old, as I’d prefer her to remain in one if possible.
Yes, my 6 year old is still in a five point harness and will be until it no longer fits her and both my 8 and 11 year old were harnessed until they outgrew the ability to be harnessed at ages 8 and 9, respectively. Race car drivers are in five point harnesses, too!
