Our beautiful Real Wedding Inspiration took place at the exquisite Gauteng Wedding Venue, Toadbury Hall. Pure elegance and crystals was the vision Danie and Karla had for their wedding day. They both love the simple things in life and to share their happiness and companionship with family and friends. The talented team from FF Décor made sure Danie and Karla had their dream wedding. Wedding flowers and décor play a big role in creating the overall look and feel of your wedding. How did you decide on FF Décor as your flower & décor supplier?
FF Décor has been working in conjunction with Toadbury Hall for many years thus they know the true potential of the venue. A couple of décor suppliers including FF Décor were contacted and after some suggestions and ideas were discussed it was seen that FF Décor was able to provide us with everything we had in mind. Thus after meeting with FF Décor I could just picture our dream wedding come to life.
You had a beautiful dress!! Tell us more about it! The designer, the fit, your favourites etc.
It was the most beautiful dress I ever saw! It was elegant, soft and full of crystals. I just knew this is the perfect dress and I want to be the first to wear it. Amanté Bridal Wear is where I went to fit my dream dress, designed by Maggie Sottero and I did not want to take it off. It was the most breathtaking, emotional and special moment ever. I was twilling around and puffing the dress feeling like a princess and couldn’t wait for my Husband to be to see me in this dress.
What made you choose your wedding venue? What was your venue short list?
Toadbury Hall is like a perfect canvas upon which memories can be painted of a special day and from the first moment we saw Toadbury Hall we just knew this is where we want celebrate our big day with our family and friends. We were searching for a unique venue which has white buildings and luscious green on the side and Toadbury Hall fulfilled the shortlist.
What was the biggest obstacle you had to overcome while organising your dream wedding?
Definitely to stay within budget! Because it is so easy to go overboard, we had to keep in mind that it is only one day and we had a great honeymoon to look forward to as well.
Any hints/tips for other Brides on how to keep your wedding budget friendly?
Start early to obtain quotes for all the major items to plan your wedding. Contact some suppliers to get an idea of what things really cost. Draw up a realistic budget and add an contingency for unexpected costs.
What every Bride should know
Our Wedding day is the most special day we all have dreamed about from when we were little girls, not just to plan this perfect day and to wear the prettiest dress but to start your life with the most important person ever, to make a lifetime promise before God and to celebrate it with all your closes friends and family. Keep all of that in mind when planning every little detail of our big day. Remember what it is about; enjoy this journey together with your husband to be family and friends.
