Little Pink Book Wedding Venue: Bona Dea Estate is just 4km from Hermanus and is situated at the very start of the Hemel en Aarde Valley. Bona Dea Estate is gently nestled against the pristine fynbos mountain slopes with endless views across several famous vineyards.

At the entrance gates on Camphill Road your eyes will be drawn up the steep driveway lined with dozens of young Liquid Amber trees, then soon you will notice that they are a Protea Flower Farm as well. Hidden behind one of the cottages and the Farm Office buildings are the sophisticated orchid greenhouses where thousands of Dendrobiums are cultivated for the cut flower market. A little further up the hill is the original Manor House in their semi Cape Dutch Style.

Bona Dea Estate offers an extensive garden which have been in development for a number of years and add generously to the magical ambience of the property with it’s superb views across the valley. At Bona Dea Estate any dream can begin and thrive so each function is attended to in detail and with great enthusiasm. A maximum of a hundred and fifty guests can be accommodated in the current semi tented area with thousands of fairy lights both indoors and in many of the trees surrounding the venue buildings.

A unique canvas is offered to create the perfect décor and mood of your choice with a wide variety of décor items and furniture available on site including an outsized checkered dance floor, candelabra, lanterns, floral vases and a variety of candle stands in many shapes and sizes. The possibilities are almost endless and the service offered is most reliable, accommodating and friendly. Their team endeavours to add the ‘thrill’ factor.

Bona Dea Estate‘s basic venue hire includes rectangular tables, linen, charger plates, crockery, cutlery and beautiful glassware. Facilities further include exceptional décor items, couches, benches, side tables, coffee tables, display shelving, antique silver items, bridal preparation room in the manor house, massive chequered dance floor, a variety of special mirrors, photo frames, interesting chair décor for the ceremony, ribbon, unique vases and ceiling décor.

Floral ideas are available from the on site Master Florist and Interior Designer. Orchid and Protea cut flowers and a variety of greens are available from the farm when in season or florals are sourced from other nearby suppliers and growers.

Wines from the Hemel en Aarde Valley are readily available together with a full bar service. Local fresh produce is also abundantly available from their external caterers and several options for overnight accommodation in close proximity can be recommended. For the moment, only one two-bedroom cottage is available for rent on the estate and three bedrooms in the Manor House.

A full in-house coordination service is offered or their team will happily work with your private coordinator/photographer or florist of your choice.
