It wasn't gonna be long before I started missing having a fringe! Or 'bangs' as all the cool kids call them. I get awfully bored when my hair stays the same way for too long, so having a fringe cut in tends to distract me from taking any length off the ends. I'm trying to grow my hair at the moment (and maybe even considering extensions) cause as I get older, I feel like my hair takes even longer to grow. I'd love to hear your opinions and experiences with hair extensions. I'm off to Singapore and Vietnam for two weeks in September, so will probably wait until I get back to look into them properly, as I know it's gonna be ridiculously warm and muggy over there, and my hair will be getting tied up into a birds nest on the top of my head most days.

I went back home to Linwood at the weekend for my friend Debbie's hen do. Since it was a local shindig I decided to make a night of it and stay over at my grans house (in my old bedroom, nostalgia ahoy!) Getting ready with a glass of wine in hand and some music on, makeup scattered across my single bed was just like being 20 years old and at uni again. I paired my sparkly silver bridesmaid shoes and bag from Heather's wedding with this Topshop outfit (one of those "it's 5.30pm on date night, I don't have anything to wear so let's just buy the whole mannequin" type affairs) I need to thank my sweet little brother Aaron for taking the outfit photos, he did SUCH a good job! And wasn't hesitant in saying naaaah that one was rubbish Ayden, let's do that again. What a wee cutie pie he is. Pete's got some competition on the blog photo front now!

The South side is getting stronger by the day with it's hair and beauty game! I've found a little gem to get my nails done just around the corner, by a lovely lass called Jade at Bella Mani. For more complicated nail art my heart always belongs to Swoon and NAF, but for a last minute appointment on a Saturday morning Bella Mani has been really handy and is perfect for an immaculate set of gels for only £16. Further up the street, award winning cult Glasgow salon BLOW has just opened a brand new training academy and salon. It is an absolute beauty. Probably the most pinterest worthy salon in all of Scotland! Gorgeous custom painted furniture and bespoke neon signs all sitting among sleek white surroundings. I'm beyond excited to announce that I am their official southside ambassador! And honoured to be a part of this new sassy lil' gem in my neighbourhood.

I love the fact that BLOW use Manic Panic dye which is completely cruelty free. Since eradicating all animal tested products in my beauty routine at the start of this year, it's important to me that this should channel right back to what products salons are using on me too. Fallon did these lovely lilac locks, melting into pink underneath. Even a few washes later as the colour is starting to fade slightly it still looks like my hair is 'done', rather than looking a colour which is washing out, if that makes sense?!  I've got a good white base blonde underneath, so I'd be keen to try out more of the Manic Panic colours once my current look fades completely. To have a nosy at their daily creations and some awesome hair inspo you can follow BLOW on instagram here. Thanks again to the little photo bombing monkey on my shoulder for taking such good pictures of me in Granny's garden ♥
