The Octopus Wolfi is by far the smallest known octopus in the world. It was both discovered and officially classified in 1913 (nowadays, classifying a new species is not as simple as just finding one, and can take years). A full octopus wolfi will weigh less than a gram, and measure 1.5 centimeters in length, meaning it can cling on to just one of your fingers comfortably. They are found in the Indo-Pacific ocean.

The Barbados threadsnake (Leptotyphlops carlae) is a species of blind threadsnake. It is the smallest known snake species. This member of the Leptotyphlopidae family is found only on the Caribbean island of Barbados.The snake was first identified as a separate species in 2008 by S. Blair Hedges, a herpetologist from Pennsylvania State University. Hedges named the new species of snake in honor of his wife, Carla Ann Hass, a herpetologist who was part of the discovery team. Specimens already existed in reference collections in the London Natural History Museum and in a museum in California, but they had been incorrectly identified to belong to another species.

Brookesia micra is a species of chameleon from the islet of Nosy Hara in Antsiranana, Madagascar. As of 14 February 2012, it is the smallest known chameleon and among the smallest reptiles, small enough to stand on the head of a match. In length, adult Brookesia micra can grow up to 29 mm.

Born in New Hampshire in 2010, Einstein stands at just 20 inches tall (about 5 hands). Amazingly, he apparently does not have any form of dwarfism, and is in fact just a really tiny miniature horse. Initially, because of his size, Einstein had no friends (aw), but now has made friends with a full grown stallion called “Playboy” and a St. Bernard named Hannah, who is over twice his size. The only mystery is why his owners named him Einstein instead of something like “Sore throat”
