Bearded Dragons are one of the most popular choices for a reptile pet. Pogona Vitticeps, commonly known as Bearded Dragons, are medium sized lizards that grow up to 12- 24 inches in length and can live for approximately 8 to 10 years in captivity.

Contrary to their name, Bearded dragons are extremely kind, docile and make wonderful pets. They have spiked scales beneath their head. These scales, when puffed up look like a beard hence the name Bearded dragon. Exotic pets enthusiasts are intrigued by Bearded dragons also called Beardies, but once they buy them, they have little to no clue about how to care for them. With this in mind Bearded Dragon World was created.

Next thing I know, My little sister and I went out to buy our first Bearded Dragon and named him ‘Drogon’ after the dragon from Game of Thrones” —- Ryan Riley, age 17

“My bearded Dragon ate nothing for 2 days. I was so worried, I thought he was gonna die. Then I spoke to other beardie owners on Bearded Dragon World, and I learnt that Beardies don’t eat for 2-3 days when they are about to shed their skin. Now I’m relieved that my baby is safe.” — Leah Simon, age 24
