10. Centre for Learning, Bengaluru

Centre for Learning, started in 1990 by a group of educators, is an attempt to explore the nature of learning and its relationship to the challenges we face today. CFL is a small school outside Bangalore for students between the ages of eight and nineteen. In January 2000 the school moved to a twenty-three acre campus about 40 km from Bangalore. The land and the buildings at the campus are the result of generous support from a large community of donors from all over the world. Facilities at the campus are simple and cost-effective. CFL receives no funding from the government. Since it is a small school, they admit very few numbers of children every year.

This is a part of the group of co-ed schools run by Springdales School Society in New Delhi, India There are four branches of the school – Pusa Road, Dhaula Kuan, Jaipur and Kirti Nagar. All the schools are affiliated to the CBSE. It was ranked as the fourth best school in India by the Hindustan Times. 5. Mallya Aditi International School, Bengaluru

It is a private school located in Bangalore, India, named after Bangalore former billionaire and Member of Parliament Vijya Mallya as a result of an endowment. It has been consistently ranked among India’s top ten private schools. It has an excellent faculty and there is an exchange programme for staff and students with the Brearley School in New York and the Castilleja School, California. 4. Cathedral and John Connon School, Mumbai

It is a co-ed private schoollocated in Mumbai. It was founded by Anglo – Scottish Educational Society in 1860. In 2010, Education World ranked Cathedral as the best day school in India. Affliated to CISCE, it has English as it’s medium of instruction. Hindi is taught as a second language and Marathi or Sanskrit is taught as third languages. 3. The Shri Ram School, New Delhi

It is a co-educational private school in India Founded in July 1988, the Shri Ram School has three campuses spread across theNCR. Each Friday there is a Stay Back for all staff and students of the Moulsari Campus till 4.00 p.m. The staff of the Junior Schools refreshes their skills through workshops and special training modules while the students enrich their learning by participating in inter-house activities. 2. The Valley School, Bengaluru

The Valley School, established in 1978, is one of the five schools of the Krishnamurti Foundation India. It is a coeducational, English medium day-school affiliated to CISCE (Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations), New Delhi. It has a student strength of about 365 and teacher strength of about 60. Unlike other schools, they do not have a dress code (uniform). The school is set on a 120-acre campus, with excellent transportation and hostel facilities. A common criticism is that the school provides the students a false sense of utopia that does not prepare them to meet the challenges of the real world.

1. Vasant Valley School, Delhi

Vasant Valley School is a co-educational private high school in Vasant Kunj, Delhi. Begun by the India Today  group, the school has earned it a reference in the July 2005 edition of Fortune magazine for the academic excellence of its students. Other than brilliant academics, the school encourages co-curricular activities such as debating, quizzing and robotics in which the VVS team won the Indian Robotics Olympiad in 2007, 2008 and 2011 and participated in the World Robot Olympiad in China, South Korea and the UAE.
