My bathroom is currently a sad state of affairs, with our crumbling tiles, heated ceiling lamp and carpeted bath (don’t ask!).
Next year will be the year of the bathroom renovation and I cannot wait!
Don’t get me wrong, as a mum, taking the time to have a soak in the bath is a wonderful thing. Be it in a castle or a cabin! Soaking yourself in soothing warm water, washing away the stresses of the day and letting your mind wander is heavenly. But adding a bit of luxury to the experience just enhances it doesn’t it?
Luckily during my renovations I’ll be able to take a trip to mums, who lives in a beautiful country house with a bathroom big enough for us all to move into for a week! Her luxury bathroom is the perfect setting to unwind and her roll top bath painted dark red is the centrepiece of the room. She has a lovely long window with a pretty window seat and some beautiful artwork in the bathroom to add a unique and personal touch. Isn’t it special?
I’ve already decided I’d like a rolltop bath in our bathroom too as it fits with the period of the house and just exudes elegance and luxury to me.
I can totally picture myself relaxing in one at the end of a hard day.
Beautiful bath inspiration
Here are my favourite freestanding baths. Which one would you chose for a long, hot soak?
Yes to all the blues! What a perfect backdrop to this pretty vintage bath – love!
Love the zing of that copper against the oversized tiles, gorgeous.
This one would be my choice! This modern freestanding bath has such stunning clean lines. Oh and I’m obsessed with those shutters.
