Wanderers go in search of a sixth straight home win as they welcome Coventry to the Macron tonight
Two former Premier League clubs who have both faced difficult financial situations of late go head-to-head tonight, as Bolton Wanderers welcome Coventry City to the Macron Stadium.
Wanderers are chasing a sixth straight home victory this evening, and boss Phil Parkinson makes one change from the side that eased to victory over Millwall at the weekend. Tom Thorpe, fresh from his first goal for the side on Saturday, comes in to replace Liam Trotter in midfield, which means David Wheater remains sidelined through injury with Derik Osede keeping his place in the side and Chris Taylor returns on the bench.
The visitors haven't tasted the Premier League since being relegated back in 2001. The club is now languishing in 19th place in League One, just one point above the relegation zone and having only won one of their nine away fixtures this season. They've also lost their last two matches, but prior to that they had won three and drawn one of their previous four.
The Sky Blues have former Bolton flop Marvin Sordell leading their strikeforce, so he's bound to score. I've not heard of many of their players, and have less idea how they're likely to line up, but they do have an American striker called Jack McBean on loan from LA Galaxy on the bench.
We'll bring you live updates from the Macron in the Comments section below, so feel free to get involved!
