Anyone who has ever met a silly, goofy Pibble knows these types are a breed unto themselves.

And so are their owners and supporters! That’s why we at BarkPost have scoured BarkShop and the Interwebs for the perfect toys, treats, and gifts for everyone with a Pit Bull or Pit Bull enthusiast in their life.

From wines that benefit Pit Bull rescue organizations to Pit Bull Flower Power iPhone cases to handmade buttons that are helping pay for a lady’s cancer treatment, read on to find the perfect gift for your Pibble-crazy friends and the Pibbles that made them that way.

1. RIP Van Fetcher: $14

Legend has it that if your Pittie picks one of these up just right, their lova-bull smile will take on a whole new level of hilarious. They’re advertised to stand up to “tough chompers” so they’re durable, too!

2. The Champions: $30

The Champions is about as Pibble as you can get. This amazing and gorgeous documentary follows the story of five of the Pit Bulls rescued from Michael Vick’s fighting ring. Be prepared for your eyes to leak some, but a lot of those tears will be from joy at how much these animals changed the way that fighting rescues are treated now.

You can watch it on Netflix if you have a subscription, but wouldn’t you rather pay the $30 and support Pit Bull rescue instead?

3. Benebone Bacon Dental Chew: $13

Even the toughest of chewers will take ages to get through this bone. It’s bacon flavored for maximum tastiness, and good for the teefers, too!

4. Stand Up For Pits Adult Onesie: $135

Rebecca Corry’s foundation Stand Up For Pits (SUFP) is one of the strongest voices we have against breed discrimination and dog fighting in the Pibble community. This incredible human, inspired by her Pit Bull “type” Angel, travels the country and makes people laugh while educating them on the importance of protecting our beloved Pibbles from being overbred, forced to fight, and discriminated against despite their “inherently good nature.”

SUFP supports non-profits nationwide and donates thousands in funds every year. They also run an LA County tip line for people to report animal cruelty and dog fighting, in addition to education and advocacy. Our silly Pitties might make us laugh, but the way their breeds are being treated and demonized is no laughing matter!

It was so hard to choose just one item from the awesome merchandise in their shop, but c’mon… You know we had to go with the adult onesie!

5. Vitakraft Yogurt Drops: $4

Raise your hand if you have a Pittie with a sensitive tummy. That’s a lot of you, right? These yogurt drops are easy on the stomach, and free of wheat, corn, and soy for pups with food sensitivities. They’re also enriched with calcium, vitamins and minerals for strong teeth and bones. This should cut down on some of those messy mush piles on the sidewalk!

6. Nomad Travel Bowls: $25

Pibbles make the best travel companions wherever you’re headed. Whether it be a hike up the mountain, a trip to the park or beach, a dog-friendly event like BarkFest, or camping out under the stars for a weekend, make sure your furry BFF is taken care of with these sturdy and stylish travel bowls. They’ll thank you with lots of doggy-breath kisses!

7. Heart Chain Rope Toy: $18

If your Pit Bull was stranded on a desert island and could only take one toy with him, chances are it would be a rope toy. These puppers love a big thick rope to chomp on, throw around, and play tug with their favorite four-legged friends and humans. Your dog can literally tug on your heart strings with this triple heart rope toy!

Rope toys are also an excellent training tool for making them drop on command, so don’t let them win or they’ll think they own you more than they already do! (Also, be sure to keep an eye while they’re chewing so that they don’t ingest any strings.)

8. Don’t Bully My Breed Dog Zip-Up Hoodie: $30

What better way to advertise Pit Bull advocacy than ON your Pit Bull?! These adorable hoodies come in a variety of colors, and really get the message across about bullies that bully Bullies. Nobody likes a bully — unless it has four legs and a wet nose!

9. Busy Buddy Tug-A-Jug: $10–$13

The Busy Buddy Tug-A-Jug is the Holy Grail of Pibble toys. It combines a rope toy to tug and toss around, and a puzzle toy to wear those always busy brains out. Just be careful that your shins don’t get in the way of any flailing bottles!

10. Benefit Wines: $20-$120

Benefit Wines is the perfect gift for the wine-drinkin’, Pit Bull lovin’ person in your life! You can buy a single bottle, a sample package, or create your own six-pack. A healthy portion of sales is donated to a rescue of your choice. The wines featured below are for the Pitty Love Rescue in Rochester, NY, but you can “shop by charity” to choose which rescue you want your proceeds to benefit. Now that’s what we call a PAWTY!

11. The Unexpected Pit Bull Calendar: $18

Speaking of awesome gifts, The Unexpected Pit Bull has some pretty rockin’ merchandise like this calendar featuring stunning pics of rescue Pit Bulls and heart-warming stories of the people whose lives they’ve changed. The Unexpected Pit Bull is a non-profit, and 100% of sales go to Pit Bull rescue, education, and advocacy organizations. In addition to their calendar, they also have great prints, apparel, and accessories, so check out their site!

12. “I’m A Good Dog: Pit Bulls, America’s Most Beautiful (And Misunderstood) Pet” by Ken Foster: $18

A must-have for any Pittie-lover’s coffee table, “I’m A Good Dog…” by Ken Foster features 140 pages of Pit Bull history, photography, facts, and stories that will have even the toughest critic changing their mind about this misunderstood breed. It’s the perfect conversation starter for your guests, and stimulating reading for any dog lover in your life!

13. Friendship Collars: $35-$70

We have no doubt in our minds that your Pibble is your bff, so why not show the world with matching Friendship Collars and bracelets? This UK company created a collection of collars and bracelets to fit any personality type, from the traditional “friendship” bracelet style to sleek ‘n’ chic designs of faux snakeskin, rhinestones, and even Rasta colors!

(Ok, so that guy on the right isn’t a Pibble, but we wanted you to see that color pop!)
14. Sophie Gamand Pit Bull Flower Power iPhone Case: $35

Chances are that if you’re into Pitties, you’ve probably seen one of famed photographer Sophie Gamand’s flower-crowned Pit Bulls at some point. Gamand was tired of seeing Pits get such a bad rap, so she decided to pose them with  — what else? — flower crowns. As you can see, the results are nothing less than breathtaking. She has worked with a number of rescue organizations, photographing hundreds of Pit Bulls to get them the positive attention (and loving forever homes) that they deserve. You can now buy her photography in prints, on tote bags and scarves, with her new calendar, or our personal favorite — the iPhone case.

We bet you’ll have at least one person ask “What kind of dog is that?” when they see your new phone case, and you can proudly tell them: “A Pit Bull!” (And then tell them all the reasons that Pitties are the best.)

Just three of the many styles to choose from
15. Pit Bull Buttons: $6.25 for 20

Last but certainly not least, wear your love for Pibbles like a badge of honor — with buttons! Rebekah Harp (aka The Dog Coat Lady on Etsy) is a shelter pet and animal rights activist. She has been making buttons and selling them, not only to spread the word about rescue and animal advocacy, but also in order to help pay for cancer treatment. According to her page, she is feeling better after surgery and treatment, but we’re sure she can still use support. And we’re DEFINITELY sure you need these Pittie buttons in your life!

So now that you have all these fantastic ideas for the Pit Bull lovers in your life, we think you’re probably set for the next few years of holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, adopt-a-versaries, every-versary that comes up! And don’t feel guilty for buying yourself one (or all) of these things listed — we’ll be doing just the same.
