Wow, I didn’t realize this post would be quite so emotional to write. Hosting the Tim Holtz A Compendium of Curiosities, Vol. 3 Challenges this past year and a half has been an absolute joy! As we wrap it all up with this post, there’s so much to tell you. Let’s start right off with our Challenge #34 winners, then take a peek into the future of the crew, shall we?

Winners!

Huge congrats to the mega-talented winners of the Compendium of Curiosities 3 Challenge #34, Altered Surfaces!

Congrats to our Honorable Mention:

Elegant and heartwarming as always, Rea’! Your creations never fail to bring a smile.

What’s Up Next for the Curiosity Crew?
I’ve been so honored to work with this incredible group of ladies, and so blessed to call them my friends. I’m excited to see what the future holds for the Curiosity Crew alumni; here’s a little sneak peak from each of the girls:

Anita HoustonAnita will continue her passion of blogging, designing, and teaching all things mixed media. Stay tuned to her blog, or Facebook page, as hopefully by the end of the year, she will have some huge news that she constantly pinches herself about to see if she is dreaming.

Annette GreenAnnette will be continuing as Special Projects Designer for Graphic 45, as well as teaching creative workshops in Florida, blogging and providing her unique style of video tutorials. 2016 will hold some fun changes in her creative journey, so stay tuned to her blog.

Candy ColwellAs a member of DecoArt’s International Design Team, Candy is experimenting with and expanding her mixed media art journey adding art journaling, creating her own books and book bindings to her already many interests. She will continue to teach and blog as well. Her art will not only be showcased on her blog but also on DecoArt’s Mixed Media Blog.

Cheryl GrigsbyCheryl is continuing her creative journey with an emphasis in mixed media and art journaling. You can continue to see her work on her blog. She’ll be teaching on the road and in the Estes Park, Colorado area with the soon to be launched Rocky Mountain Art Retreats. She is in the process of transitioning her scrapbook store online at RMMemories.com.

Hels SheridanHels continues to travel the UK teaching her love of all things vintage and inky. She hopes that her spell of ill health will soon be behind her so she can get back to playing in the Room of Stash and posting regularly on her blog again.

Marjie KemperMarjie teaches mixed media workshops at stores and art retreats across the country and also has an online workshop with Craftsy. Keep in touch with Marjie via her website, Facebook , or through her very active pinning addiction.

Susan MostekSusan continues as Design Team member for B Line Designs, promoting their awesome line of stamps. You will also find Susan blogging and teaching at various locations, including locally at Rocky Mountain Art Retreats in Estes Park, Colorado. Stay tuned to Susan’s blog to learn more about her mixed media and crafty adventures!

Yvonne BlairYvonne is spreading her wings…she will be teaching on the road promoting her art journal, stamp line and love of all things inky. She has a new gadget that will be announced very soon as well as continuing to design stamps for Impression Obsession. When she is not doing these things she will be planning a December 2016 wedding with her daughter Breanna! You can keep up with Yvonne through her blog or her Facebook.

Linda Ledbetter
As for me, well, I’m currently enrolled in something like a dozen online creative classes, ranging from photo editing to sketching to (gulp!) sewing. Fortunately, I know myself well enough that I only sign up for classes that offer lifetime access! Over the next few months I’ll be expanding the focus of my blog to include some of these other creative interests, but mixed media crafting will always be my #1 focus. Beside this blog, I’m active on Instagram, as is my extremely photogenic mini pig, Violet.

Gratitude!
You guys– what can I say, except, “You ROCK!” Your wonderful creations, your kind words, your endless ability to make our eyes and hearts light up– there are not enough words to express how much the girls and I appreciate your participation in this series. I hope each and every one of you knows that you’re amazing and brilliant and incredibly talented! Thank you enormously for being part of these challenges.

Our deepest gratitude goes to our sponsors, Inspiration Emporium and The Funkie Junkie Boutique, who’ve so generously supplied shopping sprees for every challenge. They’ve been such great partners, and we hope you’ll continue to visit them online and support their businesses.

Finally… well, how to we even begin to adequately thank our friends Mario Rossi and the man himself, Tim Holtz…? I’d be hard-pressed to think of anyone in the craft industry who’s done more to inspire and encourage both new and experienced artists. We can’t wait for Volume 4, Tim!

Big, giant love to you all!

…and the Curiosity Crew!
