Jimmy Niles Hudson
Jimmy Niles Hudson, 70, of Lincolnton, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 in Gastonia.

A native of Gastonia, he was the son of the late Kenneth Hudson. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Meg.

Mr. Hudson was co-founder of Handy Pantry Food Stores, Inc. of Gastonia and Jim Dandy Food Stores in Morehead City. He was founder and charter member of the North Carolina Association of Convenience Stores. He was also a financial advisor with Merrill-Lynch and Hilliard-Lyons.

He was veteran of the United States Navy and served his country during the Vietnam Conflict.

He was a Past Master of Gastonia Masonic Lodge # 369, and served as District Deputy Grandmaster. He was a member of Gastonia York Rite Bodies, also a 32nd degree KCCH, of the Charlotte Scottish Rite, member of the Oasis Shriners, recipient of the Service Award, Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas, past president of Pacemaker Shrine Club and past president of Gaston County Shrine Charities. Mr. Hudson was past Secretary / Treasurer of the Gaston County Shrine Club, member of the Royal Order of Jesters, Charlotte Court.

In addition to his wife, Beth, he is survived by his mother, Eloise Hudson of Charlotte; his daughters and their spouses, Daryl and Denise Bryson of Belmont, Richard and Patricia Rosenbeck, and Sara Hudson all of Cramerton; and grandchildren, Alex Bryson, Zach Bryson, Johnny Cates, Troy Hahn Jr.; and Breeanna Hahn.

The family will receive friends today at McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. prior to the graveside service, at noon, at Gaston Memorial Park officiated by Pastor John Stanley.

Military Rites will be provided by the Gaston County Honor Guard and Masonic Rites will be presented by local Masonic Members.

Shirley Jane Wilkinson Harvey, 67, died September 4, 2014.

The family will receive friends on September 6, 2014 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Pisgah United Methodist Church in Catawba. The funeral service will be held on September 7, 2014 at 3 p.m. at Pisgah United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Charles Randolph “Randy” Baxter, 67, died August 25, 2014.

A memorial service will be held today at 3 p.m. at Glory Bound Baptist Church, Kings Mountain The family will greet friends following the service.
