Lions Club scholarships
Seniors at each of the county’s four public high schools may now apply for a $500 Lincolnton Lions Club college scholarship. Applicants must be Lincoln County residents and submit an application, high school transcript, two reference letters and an essay on volunteerism. Scholarships will be awarded based on academic achievement, scholastic aptitude, financial need and volunteer service. Applications are available with each school’s guidance counselor. Deadline to apply is April 25.
Genealogical Conference
Registration is now open to attend the 5th Annual Genealogical Conference April 11-12 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church’s Parish House in Lincolnton. The two-day event is co-sponsored by the Lincoln County Historical Assocation and Gaston-Lincoln Genealogical Society. Cost is $37.45.
