Today’s post is part of a fun hop to celebrate the release of the Ghostly Greetings Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp. More on the hop below. Previously Simon have had special edition Christmas kits, but Ghostly Greetings is their first special edition Halloween kit! I’ve linked all supplies at the end of this post. I have lots to share as I was so inspired by the kit and how much product is included in it that I just kept making things! Lets start with the two cards I made using the Ghostly Greetings kit stamp set.

For cute little Frankenstein I stamped the image in Intense Black ink on a Stitched Rectangle of white card and then colored with Copics. I accented with the kit sequins and Nuvo crystals. The panel is mounted on a piece of the Doodlebug patterned paper and then on to a Slate card base.

I stamped the wee ghostie in Intense Black ink on white card, coloured with Copics and then trimmed out. This is then mounted on a Stitched Rectangle of patterned paper with Green Apple card trimmed with Scallop Stitches and accenting the Slate panel on which the sentiment is white heat embossed. Again, more sequins and Nuvo crystals to accent.

Lets pop in and mention the witches broom treat bag I made from one of the kraft bags in the kit. I trimmed the bag down from the top to the base in 1cm strips on all sides. Then wrapped some treats in purple tissue paper and gathering the paper bag strips around the treats and tied with the gingham Doodlebug ribbon. I pushed a piece of drift wood in to the bag as my broom handle and then to accent the broom cut one of the cute character pieces of Doodlebug paper in to a tag shape, backed with Green Apple card and tied with black twine to the broom.

Next how about a little shaker card love? The scene is one of the Doodlebug patterned papers cut with a Nested Circle. I created a black frame using the Nested Circles too and backed it with acetate and foam adhesive and placed it over the patterned paper on which I’d added a bunch of sequins.

I backed the shaker with a hand cut scallop circle of Green Apple card and attached a loop of Doodlebug ribbon. I also added a Stitched Circle accent, white heat embossed with a sentiment from the Ghostly Greetings stamp set and accented with a twine bow. On the front of the acetate I also added a few Nuvo crystal drops.

Finally, lets talk Pillow Boxes cut from the Doodlebug patterned papers in the kit. On the spider’s web one I cut a slit in the front of the pillow box and backed it with paper and then added a bunch of the Doodlebug google eye stickers. For the pumpkin one I simply added a leaf cut with the Hydrangea Blooms set, a loop of ribbon and a sentiment cut from more of the patterned paper. Finally for the Frankenstein box I roughly cut a zig zag of black patterned paper and adhered that to the top of the box, popped on a couple of eerie eyes and then drew a mouth with a marker.

GHOSTLY GREETINGS CARD KIT

As you can see the kit is absolutely jam-packed with product. I turned the video camera on when I first opened the Ghostly Greetings Card Kit so you can get a closer look :D

Please remember this is a limited edition that is separate from the monthly Simon Says Stamp kits. Even if you are a monthly kit subscriber, you need to purchase this separately :)
