LIMA — First Defiance Financial Corp. has reached an agreement to acquire Buckeye Insurance Consultants.
Buckeye Insurance Consultants is an independent employee benefits agency based in Lima. The acquisition was effective Sept. 1 and the agency will merge into First Defiance’s insurance subsidiary, First Insurance Group.
First Defiance Financial Corp. is the holding company for First Insurance Group and First Federal Bank. It has five offices in northwest Ohio and First Federal Bank has 33 branches in Ohio, Michigan and Indiana.
