The book of hilarious illustrations lives up to its name – it really is all about Mimi. Mimi is a delightfully sharp and witty fashionista whose greatest fear is losing her sunglasses whilst her favourite shop is Bond Street – not just one store but all of it! Mimi does what she wants when she wants and does not let having a baby get in the way.
I really enjoyed reading It’s All About Mimi, the whole book is very entertaining and funny, I really like Mimi’s explanation to her minimal kitchen, her minimal cooking. I always wondered how people managed to have impeccable kitchen, now I know they don’t actually use their kitchens!

I identified myself with Mimi when she was teaching her child to read by saying ‘A for Azzedine Alaia, B for Balenciaga, C for Coco Chanel’. When little man was learning to read, I would have a mental block and struggle to come up with simple words, so I would end up teaching him either long words or brands – joys of being a modern mummy, I would say!
Another page that made me laugh is when the baby can’t find his toys and Mimi’s response is: ‘What do you mean you can’t find your toys? Look, A is for Absolutely Too Noisy’, B for ‘Broken’ and so on…!’ I never thought of organising little man’s toys in an A-Z cupboard, but I’m now searching online for one!
It’s All About Mimi, available in Posh Paperback at RRP £11.95 (£8.36 on Amazon), is 160 pages long and handbag sized. It can be read from beginning to end in under an hour, or you can simply have a lucky dip and read random pages whenever you want to put a smile on your face.
